Time indicating device for a timepiece. The present invention relates to a time indicator device for a timepiece in which a fixed dial carries the indications relating to the division of the time arranged on a fraction of a turn. This device is characterized in that it comprises a minute indicator member constituted by an index disc moving opposite this dial, which disc is part of an assembly comprising one of the elements of a snap the other of which is carried by a mobile driven by the transmission train of the timepiece and a core on which acts a latch with a fixed axis with return spring,
so that this train drives the said assembly through the intermediary of the said catch when the rocker tends to turn the heart in the opposite direction to that in which the train rotates the click and is preceded by this assembly when said rocker, acting on the heart in the same direction as the train, turns the latter to a position of equilibrium from which the action of the rocker on the heart changes direction again and allows the heart be driven again by the train, the whole with the aim that, when the index has described the fraction of a revolution mentioned by indicating the minutes,
it suddenly describes the complementary fraction to again indicate the start of the division of the dial.
In addition, the index disc mentioned preferably has an aperture whose edge can form said index, aperture through which is visible an hour number of a second dial arranged behind the aforesaid disc and movable relative to it. In this case, the hour dial is connected to a mechanism intended to produce a relative movement of the dial and of the disc at the instant of the sudden movement of the latter to change the hour number visible in the window.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention applied to a clock.
Fig. 1 is an overall front view of the clock, FIG. 2 a front view on a larger scale without the frame with cut-out of three of the superimposed elements, and FIG. 3 is a section along III-III of the fi-. 2.
The timepiece shown com takes a frame 1 or base, to which are fixed the plate 1a of a clockwork movement and a dial 1b bearing, on a fraction of a turn, the indications relating to the division of the hour. The frame 1 also has a front face 1c, cut out, showing the dial lb as well as a part of a movable disc 19 having a window through which one of the hour numbers carried by a dial can be seen. mobile 17.
The plate preferably belongs to a movement the cog of which is such that the maximum period that can separate two total and consecutive re-assemblies is relatively long, of eight days for example, and in which a mobile 2, whose axis is dis both of that of the dials mentioned and of which the pinion meshes with the barrel, carries, under the plate, a wheel which meshes with a wheel 3 whose axis coincides with that of the dials. This wheel $ rotates on a cylindrical ring that is lifted in the plate 1 and is integral with a disc -5 whose periphery has two opposite notches. At the center of the aforementioned core is screwed a cylindrical rod 4 integral with a toothed wheel 13 which is a fixed sun wheel.
On the rod 4 can freely rotate a rigid assembly formed of a central barrel 9, a disc 8, and -disc there gui chet 19 fixed to this plate. On barrel 9 is mounted a wheel 16 in a Maltese cross with twelve teeth which bears the dial 17.
On the disc 8 is mounted a pawl 6 cooperating with the notched disc 5. A barrel 15 which can rotate freely in the heart 10 and in the disc 8, carries, outside the disc 8, a wheel 14 having a number of teeth equal to that of the wheel 13 and engender with the latter, and, outside the core, a finger disc 15a which cooperates with the Maltese cross wheel. A rocker-jumper 11 is mounted on the frame and is subjected to a return spring 12.
The operation of this device is as follows: When the watch is running, the wheel 3, integral with the disc 5, drives the disc 8 by the pawl 6, in a rotation of which the direction is that of clockwise, so that the aperture disc 19 takes one hour to pass from the left to the right of the dial. The hour number visible in the aperture follows the disc 19 in this movement, the dran 17 being driven by the Maltese cross, one tooth of which, for this path of the disc 19 matches the cylindrical part of the finger disc 15a suitably arranged for this during its implementation.
This finger disc 15a integral with the planetary wheel 14, rotates on itself during this movement of the assembly so that its finger approaches the position for which it enters an interdent of the Maltese cross for the rotate.
At the same time, the right yard ramp lifts seesaw 11 more and more, and things are set so that it is exactly when the tip of the aperture comes up against the 60 division of the dial sets the minutes as the tip - of the heart passes to the right of the beak of the rocker Il. From this moment on, the rocker 11 acts on the left ramp of the heart and causes the latter to describe a sudden movement of half a turn, thus forcing the pawl 6 to rise and slide around the periphery of the disc 5 until it falls back into the notch opposite to the one it has just left.
It arrives in this size at the same time as the rocker reaches full stroke on the heart, a free equilibrium position from which the action of the rocker on the heart changes direction and allows the heart to change direction. #ur be driven again by the train. From what has been said -of the position of the finger of the disc 15a, it can be seen that during the rapid jump of the disc 19, the finger engages with an interdent to rotate the Maltese cross by one step and thus make a new hour number appear in the window when the latter opens out from behind the 1st wall of the frame to the left of the clock.
The two slow and fast movements of the disc 19 could be distributed over the entire revolution other than in equal parts, this distribution depending on the shape of the court, and on the position of the axis of the rocker-jumper and on the shape of that here, and it is obvious that this distribution would be manifested by the appearance of the fixed dial. Another distribution than that which is represented would obviously require another ratio of the speeds of the mobile 2 to the wheel 3, while the sun gear would remain in the same ratio with the sun wheel.
