Clockwork movement with central seconds hand. The object of the present invention is (a clockwork movement with a seconds hand in the center, in which the central mobile carrying the minute hand and the mobile carrying the central seconds hand are inserted in series between the motor barrel and the regulating device This movement is characterized in that the mobile bearing the seconds hand in the center rotates in the finishing bridge and in an additional bridge <RTI

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the present invention, as well as a variant.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the embodiment and FIG. 2 a section on a larger scale by II-II of fig. 1. Figs. 3 and 4 are partial schematic views of the variant.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2, 1 designates the barrel, the teeth of which 2 are in engagement with the pinion 3 of the mobile center, which also comprises the center wheel 4 and the barrel 5 on which the carriageway 6 is mounted with high friction. prolonged by the barrel 7 which leaves, at its free end, the minute hand, not shown. The roadway 6 meshes, as i1 is well known, with the timer 8 itself meshing with the cannon wheel 9, the case of which does not bear the hour hand, not shown.
The center wheel 4 meshes with the pinion of the small-medium mobile 10, the wheel of which itself meshes with the pinion 11 of the mobile carrying the seconds hand in the center which has a shaft 12, drives out into the pinion 11 (or integral with it), and at the free end of which is fixed the seconds hand in the center, not shown. This shaft passes coaxially through the barrel 5 of the center mobile. The mobile bearing the seconds hand in the center also has the wheel 13 which meshes with the escape wheel 14.
The pinion 11 turns in the finishing bridge 13a and in an additional bridge 13b fixed on the face of the plate facing the finishing bridge and in which also turns the pinion 3 of the center mobile. (This last pinion could also turn in a Special bridge placed between the bridge 13b and the plate.) The mobile bearing. the seconds hand in the center being. inserted between the barrel and the escapement, the latter regulates its movement, which eliminates any rattling of gears.
On the other hand, this mobile is mounted in two bearings directly carried by the frame; this arrangement is more advantageous than that usually employed and according to which it is mounted in a bearing of the frame and in a bearing mounted in the barrel of the center mobile: in fact, it gives more stability to the mobile carrying the second hand, which is important when set by the escapement. and it facilitates its assembly.
In this embodiment. the small average mobile 10 also meshes with a mobile 15 which carries the ordinary off-center seconds hand and which also meshes with the escape wheel.
In the variant shown in fig. 3 and 4, the central seconds mobile also rotates in two bearings carried directly by the frame, one mounted in the finish bridge 13 ;, and the other. in the bridge -supplémen taire 13j ,. The shaft 12 of this mobile, the shaft which carries the seconds hand in the center, has a male cone 16 that a spring 17. which acts on the shaft 12, maintains normally engaged with a female cone 18 presented by the pinion 11.
When acting on the spring 17, by means of the pusher 19 and the rocker 20. so as to move it away from the shaft 12, the two cones :. male and female, are no longer engaged with each other, and the second needle in the center stops.
If a ring is provided on the dial which can rotate centrally on the dial and carries a turn of minutes, we see that it is possible with the seconds hand to measure a time. TI, it will suffice to stop this hand, to bring it back to zero for this turn, then to let it start again at the beginning. time to measure, to stop it at.
the end of it. The fact that the pinion 11 of the mobile bearing the seconds hand in the center rotates in two doors directly in the frame facilitates operation. of the arrangement described. the shaft 12 can slide easily in this pinion, the position of which is stable.
