Description
<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 141535. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines metallhaltigen Farbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen metallhaltigen Farbstoff erhält, wenn man den Farbstoff aus diazotiertem 4-Nitro- ?-amino-l-phenol und Resorcin in einem Medium, dessen Px nicht grösser als 10 ist, mit einem kobaltabgebenden Mittel be handelt.
Der erhaltene Farbstoff stellt ein grün schwarzes Pulver dar, das sich in Natron lauge mit tiefroter und in konz. Schwefel säure mit braungelber Farbe löst. Aus der tiefrot gefärbten Lösung des Farbstoffes in Zaponlack erhält man auf Metallfolien lebhafte scharlachrote Anstriche von sehr guter Lichtechtheit.
Beispiel: 2,74 Gewichtsteile des Farbstoffes aus diazotiertem 4-Nitro-2-amino-l-phenol und Resorcin werden in 250 Teilen Wasser heiss gelöst und mit einer 0,65 Teilen Kobalt ent sprechenden Menge ameisensauren Kobalts einige Zeit am Rückflusskühler zum Sieden erhitzt. Nach dem Erkalten der Reaktions lösung filtriert man den ausgeschiedenen Farbstoff ab, wäscht aus und trocknet bei mässiger Temperatur.
Die Behandlung mit ameisensaurem Ko balt führt zum gleichen Resultat, wenn man dem Reaktionsgemisch Zusätze, wie zum Bei spiel Natriumformiat, Natriumacetat, Koch salz oder Natriumsulfit zugibt.

It has been found that a new metal-containing dye is obtained if the dye of diazotized 4-nitro-? -Amino-1-phenol and resorcinol is treated with a cobalt-releasing agent in a medium whose Px is not greater than 10.
The dye obtained is a green black powder, which is in sodium hydroxide with deep red and in conc. Sulfuric acid dissolves with a brownish yellow color. The deep red solution of the dye in zapon varnish gives vivid scarlet paints of very good lightfastness on metal foils.
Example: 2.74 parts by weight of the dye from diazotized 4-nitro-2-amino-1-phenol and resorcinol are dissolved in 250 parts of hot water and heated to boiling for some time with a 0.65 part of cobalt corresponding amount of cobalt form . After the reaction solution has cooled, the dyestuff which has separated out is filtered off, washed out and dried at a moderate temperature.
Treatment with formic acid cobalt leads to the same result if additives such as sodium formate, sodium acetate, sodium chloride or sodium sulfite are added to the reaction mixture.
