Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 141535. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines metallhaltigen Farbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen metallhaltigen Farbstoff erhält, wenn man den Farbstoff aus diazotiertem 4-Chlor- z-amino-l-phenol und Resorcin in einem Medium, dessen Pii nicht grösser als 10 ist, mit einem nickelabgebenden Mittel behandelt.
Der erhaltene Farbstoff stellt ein gelb braunes Pulver dar, das sich in Natron lauge mit tiefroter und in konz. Schwefel säure mit braungelber Farbe löst. Aus der orange gefärbten Lösung des Farbstoffes in Zaponlack erhält man auf Metallfolien orange gefärbte Anstriche.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 2,63 Gewichtsteile des Farbstoffes aus diazotiertem 4-Chlor--2-amino-l-phenol und Resorcin werden in 25,0 Teilen Wasser mit einer 0,64 Teilen Nickel entsprechenden Menge Nickelsulfat unter Zusatz der äqui valenten Menge Natriumformiat einige Zeit am Rückfluss zum Kochen erhitzt, nach dem Erkalten der ausgeschiedene Farbstoff ab filtriert, gewaschen und bei mässiger Tem peratur getrocknet.
Die Behandlung mit Nickelsulfat führt zum gleichen Resultat, wenn man das im Beispiel verwendete Natriumformiat zum Beispiel durch Natriumacetat, Kochsalz oder Natriumsulfit ersetzt.

It has been found that a new metal-containing dye is obtained if the dye made from diazotized 4-chloro-z-amino-1-phenol and resorcinol is treated with a nickel-releasing agent in a medium whose Pii is not greater than 10.
The dye obtained is a yellow-brown powder, which is in sodium hydroxide solution with deep red and in conc. Sulfuric acid dissolves with a brownish yellow color. Orange-colored paints are obtained on metal foils from the orange-colored solution of the dye in zapon varnish.
<I> Example: </I> 2.63 parts by weight of the dye from diazotized 4-chloro-2-amino-1-phenol and resorcinol are added to 25.0 parts of water with an amount of nickel sulfate corresponding to 0.64 part of nickel the equivalent amount of sodium formate heated to the boil under reflux for some time, after cooling the precipitated dye is filtered off, washed and dried at a moderate temperature.
Treatment with nickel sulphate leads to the same result if the sodium formate used in the example is replaced, for example, by sodium acetate, common salt or sodium sulphite.
