Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 145447. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen metallhaltigen Farbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen chromhaltigen Farbstoff erhält, wenn man den Azofarbstoff aus diazotiertem 4-Nitro-2- amino-l-phenol und 2,5-Aminonaphtol, mine ralsauer gekuppelt, in Gegenwart von Pyri- din mit chromabgebenden Mitteln behandelt.
Der erhaltene chromhaltige Farbstoff stellt ein schwarzes Pulver dar, das sich in Wasser nicht, in Natronlauge mit grüner und in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit rotstickig blaugrauer Farbe löst. In organischen Lösungs mitteln löst sich der Farbstoff mit grüner Farbe. Er ergibt, in Zapon- oder Acetylcel- luloselack gelöst, auf Metallfolien gelbstickig grüne Überzüge.
Beispiel: 3,24 Gewichtsteile des Farbstoffes aus diazotiertem 4-Nitro-2-amino-l-phenol und 2,5-Aminonaphthol, in mineralsaurer Lösung kombiniert, werden in 100 Teilen Pyridin gelöst und mit einer 1,14 Teilen Cr20s ent sprechenden Menge ameisensaurem Chrom mehrere Stunden am Rückfluss zum Sieden erhitzt. Die tief grüne Lösung wird hierauf filtriert, das Pyridin im Vakuum abdestilliert und der Rückstand bei mässiger Temperatur getrocknet.
Als chromabgebende Mittel können statt Chromformiat andere, wie zum Beispiel Chrom acetat, verwendet werden; die Chromierung kann ferner in Gegenwart geeigneter Zu sätze, wie zum Beispiel der Alkalisalze or ganischer Säuren, durchgeführt werden.

It has been found that a new chromium-containing dye is obtained if the azo dye made from diazotized 4-nitro-2-amino-1-phenol and 2,5-aminonaphtol, coupled with mineral acid, is treated in the presence of pyridine with chromium-releasing agents .
The chromium-containing dye obtained is a black powder which does not dissolve in water, in sodium hydroxide solution with green and in concentrated sulfuric acid with red-nitrogenous blue-gray color. The dye dissolves in organic solvents with a green color. When dissolved in zapon or acetyl cellulose varnish, it results in yellowish green coatings on metal foils.
Example: 3.24 parts by weight of the dye from diazotized 4-nitro-2-amino-1-phenol and 2,5-aminonaphthol, combined in a mineral acid solution, are dissolved in 100 parts of pyridine and an appropriate amount of 1.14 parts of Cr20s Chromium form is heated to boiling under reflux for several hours. The deep green solution is then filtered, the pyridine is distilled off in vacuo and the residue is dried at a moderate temperature.
Instead of chromium formate, other chromium donating agents, such as chromium acetate, can be used; the chromating can also be carried out in the presence of suitable additives, such as, for example, the alkali metal salts of organic acids.
