  Der neue Farbstoff stellt ein gelblich ge  färbtes Pulver dar; er ist löslich in Wasser  und färbt die gebeizte     pflanzliche    Faser in       grünlich-gelben    Tönen von hervorragender  Echtheit.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  In eine heisse Lösung von 14,2 kg des  in üblicher Weise dargestellten     Farbstoffs          Dehydrothio-p-toluidin    -     azo-        acetessigsäure    -o-         Verfahren    zur Herstellung eines basischen         toluidid    in 340 kg Chlorbenzol trägt man b kg       Dimethylsulfat    ein und hält dann noch einige  Zeit im Sieden. Der erhaltene     Farbstoff    wird  nach dem Erkalten     abfiltriert    und in üblicher  Weise von anhängendem Chlorbenzol befreit.  Zur weiteren Reinigung wird in heissem Wasser  gelöst und aus der filtrierten Lösung mit Koch  salz gefällt.

Der neue Farbstoff stellt ein gelblich ge färbtes Pulver dar; er ist löslich in Wasser und färbt die gebeizte pflanzliche Faser in grünlich-gelben Tönen von hervorragender Echtheit.
