Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung einer m-Oxy-phenylarylamincarbonsäure. Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zurHerstellung einerm-Oxy-phenyl- arylamirrcarbonsäure, dadurch gekerinzeichuet, dass man ein Alkalisalz von 3-Oxy-2'-meth- oxydiphenylamin mit Kohlensäure unter Druck erhitzt.
Die 3-Oxy-2'-methoxydiphenylamincarbon- säure ist ein graubraunes Pulver, das nach dem Umkristallisieren aus Chlorbenzol den Schmelzpunkt 199-200 o C zeigt. Ihre alko holische Lösung gibt mit verdünnter Eisen chloridlösung eine violette Färbung. Das Produkt soll als Zwischenprodukt zur Her stellung von Farbstoffen verwendet werden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 430 Teile 3-Oxy-2'-methoxydiphenylamin werden mit 133,6 Teilen Ätzkali 83,8 /o ig und 1000 Teilen Wasser in einem mit Rühr werk versehenen Autoklaven in Lösung ge bracht und das Wasser im Vakuum bis zur völligen Trockenheit des gebildeten Kalium salzes abdestilliert. Nach dem Erkalten der Reaktionsmasse leitet man Kohlensäure bis zu einem Druck von 10 Atm. ein und erhitzt auf 160 o C während 16 Stunden. Die er kaltete Schmelze wird in heissem Wasser gelöst, filtriert und die gebildete Carbonsäure mit Salzsäure gefällt.
Zur weiteren Reinigung kann dieselbe aus Soda oder Natriumacetat umgelöst werden.

The 3-oxy-2'-methoxydiphenylamine carboxylic acid is a gray-brown powder which, after recrystallization from chlorobenzene, has a melting point of 199-200 ° C. The cold melt is dissolved in hot water, filtered and the carboxylic acid formed is precipitated with hydrochloric acid.
For further cleaning, it can be redissolved from soda or sodium acetate.
