Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines neuen un  gesättigten hydroaromatischen Aldehyds wel  ches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man       a-Phellandren    mit     Crotonaldehyd    kondensiert.  Die neue Verbindung soll zur Herstellung  von Farbstoffen, pharmazeutischen Produkten  und Riechstoffen verwendet werden.  



  <I>Beispiel</I>  10 Gewichtsteile     a-Phellandren    und 10  Gewichtsteile     Orotonaldehyd    werden im  Druckgefäss auf 150   erhitzt. Die Reaktions  masse wird der Destillation im Vakuum un-         terworfen,    wobei der neue Aldehyd unter  18 mm bei     143-144'    übergeht. Er bildet  ein farbloses, stark riechendes Öl.
