  Verfahren zur Darstellung einer Verbindung mit hydriertem Ringsystem.    Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung einer Verbindung  von folgender Konstitution

    dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man     2.3-Di-          methylbutadienmit        Orotoiialdehydkondensiert.     Die neue Verbindung soll zur Herstellung von       Farbstoffen,    pharmazeutischen     Produkten    und  Riechstoffen verwendet werden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  8 Gewichtsteile 2 .     3-Dimethylbutadien    und  13 Gewichtsteile     Orotonaldehyd    werden b  Stunden im Druckgefäss auf etwa 160   erhitzt.  Das Reaktionsprodukt wird der Destillation  im Vakuum unterworfen, wobei nach einem  aus     Crotonaldehyd    bestehenden Vorlauf der  neue 3.4.6.-Trimethyl-as-tetrahydrobenz-         aldehyd    schon nahezu rein übergeht. Bei  nochmaliger Destillation im Vakuum siedet  er konstant bei 89   unter 12 mm Druck. Sein  Geruch ist charakteristisch und leicht stechend.
