      Verfahren    zur Darstellung einer Verbindung mit hydriertem Ringsystem.    Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Dimethyl-          tetrahydro    -     benzaldehyds,    welches dadurch  gekennzeichnet ist, dass man     Isopren    und       Crotonaldehyd    kondensiert. Die neue Ver  bindung soll zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen,  pharmazeutischen Produkten und     Riechstoffen     verwendet werden.    <I>Beispiel:</I>    8 Gewichtsteile     Isopren    und 12 Gewichts  teile     Crotonaldehyd    werden im     Autoklaven     einige Stunden auf 150' erhitzt.

   Bei der  Destillation im Vakuum geht der entstandene         Dimethyltetrahydrobenzaldehyd    nach einem  aus     Crotonaldehyd    bestehenden Vorlauf nahezu  rein über und wird durch nochmalige Destil  lation ganz rein erhalten. Kp. 92-93  , 25 mm.
