Verfahren zur Darstellung einer Verbindung mit hydriertem Ringsystem. Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung einer Verbindung von folgender Konstitution

welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man Butadien mit Crotonaldehyd kondensiert. Die neue Verbindung soll zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen, pharmazeutischen Produkten und Riechstoffen verwendet werden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 5 Gewichtsteile Butadien und 13 Gewichts teile Crotonaldehyd werden im Autoklaven auf<B>1501</B> erhitzt. Man destilliert im Vakuum und fängt nach einem anfangs aus Croton- aldehyd, darin aus einem Gemisch von Croton- aldehyd und dem neuen Körper bestehenden Vorlauf das unter 22 mm bei<B>76',</B> unter 38 mm bei 83 Übergehende gesondert auf. Hieraus gewinnt man durch nochmalige Destil lation den reinen 6-Methyl-03-tetrahydrobenz- aldehyd als wasserhelles Öl.
Der neue Al dehyd bildet ein wasserhelles Öl, welches bei 11 mm Druck bei 68 bis<B>710</B> siedet.
