Etant donné que l'arbre 11 peut osciller libre ment dans les trous des flasques 8, le bras 14 solidaire de l'arbre 11 pivote sur 15 en sens opposé à celui du flasque. La traverse 13 partant, en se déplaçant alternativement en sens vertical est obligée à osciller en semble avec les équerres 12 autour du point 15 et cette oscillation se produit en sous opposé à celui du système de guidage 6 et 7;
Automatic shut-off device for shawl machines (Rachel looms). The present invention relates to an automatic stopping device for machines for making shawls, called Rachel looms.
These machines, due to the differences which distinguish them from knitting machines and even more from ordinary looms, require special automatic stopping devices to cause the loom to stop when the yarn breaks.
The device according to the invention comprises metal stirrups, placed at the fork on each wire and which in the event of breakage of the respective wire are lowered and, along a guide, are carried on the course of a endowed crosspiece. a reciprocating movement, so that .celle drives said guide and gives rise, as a result of this drive, to the displacement of a guide. of a control member of a release lever , control unit continuously receiving a back and forth movement of the machine shaft,
in such a way that said control member releases said lever which held the belt pass in the "belt on the fixed pulley" position and causes the belt pass to pass into the "belt on the idle pulley" position by effect of a spring.
The object of the invention is illustrated by the accompanying drawing in one of its embodiments indicated by way of example only.
Fig. 1 is a partial longitudinal elevation of a shawl loom equipped with the automatic stop device after the invention; Fig. 2 is the corresponding cross section, relating to the area of the loom in which the stopper is preferably mounted; Fig. 3 shows, on a larger scale, one of the stirrups causing the stop.
Fig.4 shows in particular the oscillating axis and the -dispositifs which are attached to it; Figs. 5 and 6 show partially in longitudinal view and in cross section the device for guiding the threads. In the drawing, A is a shawl loom or Rachel loom. The wires 1 unwinding from the beam 2 and going to the needle device passing over two guide bars 3 and 4 and on the path between these two bars a U-bent metal wire yoke 5 with unequal length branches is mounted astride each wire.
All the stirrups 5 are guided by two cross members 6 and 7 longitudinal with respect to the machine, and the weight of each stirrup is established in such a way that, until the stirrup remains suspended by the effect of the tension of the wire, the lower end of the longest between the branches of the U does not exceed the lower edge of the crosspieces 6 and 7. The support flanges 8 are mounted on a longitudinal axis 9 capable of oscillating in the supports ports 10. In holes formed in the flanges 8 are freely threaded the ends of the longitudinal shafts 11; these shafts, while participating in the oscillations of the flanges 8, can therefore rotate in the said holes which form their seat.
Each shaft 11 carries by means of brackets 12 a cross member 13 which consequently participates, as well as the shafts 11, in the oscillations of the square shaft 9. The ends of each shaft 11 are fixed, in arms 14 respectively connected at 15 and 16 at the upper ends of the rods 17 and 18. The rod 17 pivots at 19 on the frame of the machine, while the rod 18 is suspended from the end 16 of the arm 14. A spring 20 rolled on the rod 17 and fixed at the bottom to the sail 21 of said rod, supports the arm 14 at the top; consequently this arm, in order to lower itself, must overcome the resistance of this spring.
Since the shaft 11 can oscillate freely in the holes of the flanges 8, the arm 14 integral with the shaft 11 pivots on 15 in the direction opposite to that of the flange. The cross member 13 starting, moving alternately in the vertical direction is forced to oscillate together with the brackets 12 around the point 15 and this oscillation occurs under opposite that of the guide system 6 and 7;
in other words, when the flange 8 is lowered, the end of the crossmember 13 covers the edges of the guides 6 and 7, while during the lifting said end moves away; this naturally occurs when this overlap can occur freely.
When a wire 1 breaks, its stirrup is lowered and the end of the stirrup exceeds the lower edges of the guides 6 and 7, so that the cross-member 13, in its downward oscillation, meets the tip of the caliper protruding and can no longer cover guides 6 and 7; It follows that the arm 14 can no longer oscillate around 15, but it becomes integral with the oscillating flange 8 and must therefore be lowered. The end 16 is therefore lowered as well as .la rod 18 terminating at the bottom with an eyelet 22 in which is threaded a rod 23 pivoting at 24 on an eccentric collar 25 wedged on the shaft 26 of the machine.
When the rod 18 (serving as a guide for the rod 23) is lowered, the rod 23 on which the eccentric imparts an alternating axial movement collides with the end 27 of the arm 28 integral with the lever 29 .
This lever, by means of a projection: with which it is provided, engages or disengages from the rod 30 (provided with a notch corresponding to the projection of the lever 29) supporting the belt pass 31, and blocks the belt pass in position: operating; this in contrast to the spring 32 which tends to bring the belt guide in the idle position.
The impact of the rod 23 against the end -27 results in the lever 29 moving away from the rod 30 carrying the belt pass 31; the spring 32 is now free to exert its action and pushes the belt pusher towards the idler pulley, which stops the machine. The worker can now tie the ends of the broken thread, after which he returns the rod 30 of the belt guide in the engagement position with the lever 29 and the belt is thus brought back on the frozen pulley and the machine is put. running again.
The effectiveness of the device depends, among other things, on the fact that the threads are suitably spaced, without overlaps and without twists. For this purpose, are provided. Guiding pins 33 (Fig. 4 to 6) supported by the oscillating flanges 8 and provided with a series of radial points between which the son are arranged in due order. The axes 33 can rotate in their support holes provided in the flanges 8 and their end is provided with a lever 35 which allows the axis to be turned by the angle necessary to carry the points 34 (the working position to. that of rest or vice versa.
