Description
The metallic roller shutter doors, which are often used to lock entrances to garages, storage rooms, etc., have the disadvantage that they form a burglar-proof and fire-proof lock, but none. Offer protection against external temperature influences.
Particularly in individual garages, where the entrance opening usually takes up almost the entire size of the front wall, this inconvenience occurs, for example by taking special precautions against the freezing of the cooling water of motor vehicles who have to be taken in winter.
This drawback is now to be eliminated by the present invention. In the case of the roller shutter door according to the invention, this is achieved by the fact that the same has two roller shutters that are functionally connected to one another and leave a distance between them, one of which is made of metal, the other of a poorly thermally conductive material.
Thanks to the poorly heat-conducting roller shutter, most of which is a wooden roller shutter, the heat exchange between the outside air and the interior of the room or the rooms separated by the door is greatly reduced, and this effect is further increased by the two roller shutters remaining space in which a resting, insulating layer of air is enclosed. This air space also protects the wooden shutters against rot.
It is practical if the inner roller shutter is firmly connected to the outer, metal, for example iron shutter at the lower end, so that both shutters move together when pushed up. For larger closures, the drum axis of the iron roller shutter has a practical one. Drive, while the drum of the wooden shutter is only seen ver with a spring axis for trouble-free rolling of the same.
However, instead of the connection at the lower ends, a drive connection could be provided from the driven drum axis of the metal roller shutter to the drum axis of the wooden roller shutter in order to move both at the same time.
Two embodiments of the. Invention subject matter are shown in Fig. 1 and 2 with the drawing lying in vertical section.
Fig. 1 shows a garage door with an outer iron roller shutter 1 and an inner wooden roller shutter 2, which are separated from one another by an air space 3. To drive the drum axle 4 of the iron roller shutter, a known angular gear 7 can be actuated by means of a hand crank, and both roller shutters are connected to one another at the lower end by spacer bolts, so that the wooden roller shutter 2 that winds on a spring drum axle 5 inevitably moves with it the former moved.
Both drums are housed one behind the other in a housing 8 protects ge, namely the drum of the roller shutter 1 is outside the building wall Ge. The drive of the roller shutter 1 could of course also be done by means of a chain drive or the like, with smaller roller shutters also directly by hand. Also, instead of the lower connection of the two roller shutters, a drive connection from the drum axis 4 to the drum axis 5, for example by means of chain wheels and joint chain, could be provided.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the drum axes 4 and 5 of the iron roller shutter 1 and the one with it at the lower end are means of spacer bolts. 6 connected wooden roller blinds 2 not one behind the other, but rather the former arranged over the latter in a common housing 9. To move the two shutters is a drum axis 4 acting belt drive 10, while the drum axis 5 is provided with spiral springs, not shown, for rolling up the wooden shutter.
