Le fonctionnement du dispositif décrit est le suivant: Si on le laisse à lui-même, l'ar brea tournant, les palesd prendront auto matiquement la position montrée en fig. 1 oû elles n'exercent aucune action motrice;
Propeller motor device. The object of the present invention is a propeller motor device. This device is characterized by a propeller actuated by a motor and the blades of which, rotatably mounted on an axle, so as to be able to rotate around axes arranged xadially with respect to the latter, are connected by a transmission device. movement with a sleeve, not integral in rotation with the propeller shaft, and able to slide relative to the latter, in order to vary the inclination of the blades as well as the direction of this inclination by moving the sleeve .
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a front elevational view thereof, and FIG. 2; a side elevational view; fig. 3 represents a plan.
a is the motor shaft connected to a motor source, not shown; U is a keyed hub on this shaft and in which the two shafts c are radially fixed; around each of these can freely rotate a blade d of the propeller. The shaft a turns freely in the sleeve e which is provided with a helical ramp f and can turn in a fixed nut g. The sleeve e can be rotated relative to the nut g by means of a control device, not shown, terminating in the shank h, integral with said sleeve.
The latter also has a circular groove in which the disc k can freely rotate, connected by a connecting rod în to each of the blades d.
The operation of the device described is as follows: If we leave it to itself, the shaft has rotating, the blades d will automatically take the position shown in fig. . 1 where they exert no motor action;
but if, by means of the aforementioned control device, the sleeve e is rotated, in one direction or the other, with respect to the nut g, this sleeve is moved along the shaft a and consequently, thanks to the rods m, the inclination of the blades d with respect to the shaft a, as well as the direction of this inching, is varied; in other words, one can, without acting on the motor shaft, cancel the action of the propeller or change the intensity and direction of this action. The embodiment described will be used with advantage for the propulsion of light cars, sleds.
