Jouet denfant.
Children's toy. This invention relates to a children's toy consisting of a locomotion apparatus provided with a propulsion mechanism comprising two drive pedals oscillating in parallel planes, and each of which operates a rack, as well as two toothed pinions meshing with the racks. , and tines to transform the movements of these into rotational movement of propulsion organs, with the aim of making it possible to obtain a continuous propulsion of the toy forward by a movement resembling < B> to the child's natural walk.
The small toy furthermore accommodates floats as well as water propellants, such as paddlewheels, for example, to allow the apparatus to be used. read on the water.
In the appended drawing which represents, for title ± the example, two embodiments of the object of the invention : FIG. 1 is an elevation of a first embodiment intended for propulsion on land, Fig. 2 is a plan; - Fig. 3 is a larger scale sectional view along A-A of fig. 4, while Fig. 4 is a sectional plan of FIG. 3; Fig. 5 and 6 are respectively an rise and titi plan of an embodiment for movement on water.
The toy according to the embodiment of fig. 1 to 4 has a rotating axle 1 to two driving wheels 2 whose bearings are fixed to a base < B> 3 on which is mounted by articulation a steering rod 5 sup carrying the steering wheel 6. The sole 3 carries the articulation 7 of the driving pedals 8 and 9 oscillating in parallel planes.
On the axis 1 of the rear wheels 2, is mounted a with ratchet wheel 21 integral with the axis 1 and whose two faces are cut along ratchet teeth directed in the same direction. With each of these faces can engage a pawl, or group of pawls, 22,
mounted with the interposition of springs 23 in the extension 24 of a pinion 25 mounted deep on the shaft 1 and with which it engages a rack 26. This rack is held in engagement with the pinion 25 by a support bar 27 and it is articulated at its upper end to </ B > the corresponding pedal 8 or 9. - When pressing for example on the p- dale 9, the rack rotates the corresponding pin 25 in driving the tam bour 24 which it is integral with.
The pawl 22 in engagement with the ratchet 21 determines a rotation of this ratchet and consequently of the axle 1 and of the wheels 0. in the direction of forward travel of the toy ; when the 9 pedal reaches the end of its travel, the toy continues to move as a result of the speed acquired, the ratchet 21 turning freely by pushing back the pawl 22. By then pressing the p- dale 8 , a similar operation is determined by giving a new impulse to the toy and so on.
The second embodiment shown (fig. 5 and 6) is intended for use on water. It comprises a float 28, as well as, fixed to the rear axle to the place of the driving wheels 2, of the wheels to vanes 29 intended for the propulsion of the apparatus on water. Steering is provided to using a rudder 30 connected to the steering bar 5 to using rods 31.
Of course, the above description is given to by way of example only, the shape of the various parts naturally being able to vary without departing from the scope of the invention.
