Shaped watch movement with a second hand. The object of the invention is a shaped watch movement having a second hand.
To satisfy the taste of the public, small-format watch movements must be fitted, like normal-size movements, with a second hand placed at the usual place on the dial. However, the aiming of small calibres is generally not suitable for this purpose, since the center of rotation of the seconds wheel is not located, for technical reasons, in the required place.
In the movement which is the subject of the invention, the second hand is mounted on a toothed mobile uri and driven, using at least one reference, by a toothed wheel, fixed to the axis of the wheel. seconds.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 shows it in elevation, seen from the front side, the dial not being shown; Fig. 2 is a section, on a larger scale, along the line A-B-C of FIG. 1. The approximately rec tangular movement shown comprises a barrel 1 which controls the pinion 2 of the escape wheel 3, via the pinion 4 and the large-medium wheel 5, the pinion 6 and the wheel 7 small medium, and pinion 8 and wheel 9 seconds.
The axis of the seconds wheel 9 rotates, on the one hand, in a stone 10 of the plate 11 and, on the other hand, in a bridge 12.
13 is the balance and 14 is the dial. The second hand 15 is placed on the axis of symmetry passing through the winding stem 16 and the middle of the movement; it is adjusted by a tigeron in the barrel of a toothed wheel 17 mounted loose on a tenon 18 driven into the plate 11.
The axis of rotation of the seconds wheel 9 being located outside the axis of symmetry passing through the winding stem 16, the pinion 8 of the seconds wheel carries, wedged on an extension of the axle 19, a wheel toothed 20 which drives the wheel 17, by the intermediary of a return 21 mounted loosely on a tenon 22 driven into the plate 11. The wheel 17 and the return 21 are held by a bar 24 fixed to the plate I1 by a screw 23.
The hand 15 thus turns in the same direction as the seconds wheel 9, that is to say according to the usual direction of rotation of the hands of a watch. More than one reference could be provided, between the wheel 20 and the wheel 17, because the location occupied by the seconds wheel 9 may differ depending on the free ca and the scores. Thus, for example, in a so-called "soap bar" caliber, the center of rotation of the second hand would be located at E (fig. 1), instead of being located, as in the caliber. pin described, on the axis of symmetry passing through the winding stem 16.
It should be noted that the device described is claimed exclusively as an application to shaped watch movements having a second hand. It is therefore understood that the movement could be oval, elliptical, barrel shaped, etc.
