Abstract

L'invention porte sur un insert de coupe indexable (20) et sur une fraise (58; figure 5) avec des inserts de coupe indexables (20) identiques. L'insert de coupe indexable (20) a une surface supérieure (22) et une surface inférieure opposée (24) et une surface latérale périphérique (26). Des arêtes de coupe principales (46, 48) sont formées sur un bord périphérique supérieur (28), avec des surfaces de coupe principales adjacentes (54, 56) sur la surface supérieure (22). Au moins deux des arêtes de coupe principales (46, 48) ont différents angles de coupe axiale d'insert (A1, A2) à des points d'index équivalents (E, F) le long des arêtes de coupe principales (46, 48), et au moins deux des surfaces de coupe principales (54, 56) ont différents angles de profil de surface de coupe (B1, B2) au niveau de sections planes (P4, P5) qui sont perpendiculaires aux arêtes de coupe principales (46, 48) et contiennent un axe d'insert (A, B). La fraise (58) comprend un corps de fraise (62) avec une pluralité de poches de réception d'insert identiques (60), dans lesquelles un nombre égal des inserts de coupe indexables identiques (20) est reçu de façon amovible, ayant des arêtes de coupe principales actives (46, 48) et des surfaces de coupe principales actives (54, 56) avec différents angles de coupe axiaux et/ou radiaux.
