Abstract
L'invention est un système de brouillage vidéo qui introduit une oscillation aléatoire se présentant sous la forme d'un déplacement temporel de la partie active de l'image vidéo sans perturber le signal de synchronisation horizontale ni la salve de chrominance de chaque ligne vidéo, ce qui permet d'obtenir un dispositif de protection et de dissimulation. La protection est accrue par le remplissage de l'espace entre le commencement nominal de la partie active du signal vidéo et le commencement réel de cette même partie active par un signal vidéo synthétisé qui produit une copie de la partie vidéo active adjacente en utilisant une configuration de remplissage produite numériquement. L'emplacement de l'espace est de plus dissimulé par la superposition d'un bruit aléatoire. On obtient une dissimulation additionnelle en créant une oscillation temporelle dans l'emplacement du signal de synchronisation horizontale au moyen d'une ou deux fréquences et en faisant varier de façon aléatoire l'emplacement du signal de synchronisation verticale. Le codage numérique NTSC de l'invention est simplifié par l'utilisation de deux signaux seulement, le signal de chrominance et le signal de luminance, et par l'utilisation d'un circuit hétérodyne pour stabiliser le signal de chrominance. L'utilisation du signal de chrominance améliore la qualité du codage NTSC en conservant des détails qui sont normalement perdus. De plus, une partie de la salve de chrominance peut être incorporée au palier avant du signal de suppression de trame d'un signal vidéo non standard, ce qui permet d'utiliser un décodeur relativement simple.
