Abstract

PREDIçãO DE ACESSO A MEMóRIA DESALINHADO. Em um pipeline de execução de instruções, é predito o desalinhamento de instruções de acesso a memória. Com base na predição, uma micro-operação adicional é gerada no pipeline antes da geração de endereço efetivo da instrução de acesso a memória. A micro-operação adicional acessa a memória cruzando um limite predeterminado de endereço. A predição do desalinhamento e geração precoce de uma micro-operação no pipeline asseguram que recursos de controle de pipeline suficientes estejam disponíveis para a geração e seguimento da micro-operação adicional, evitando um esvaziamento do pipeline caso os recursos não estejam disponíveis no momento da geração do endereço efetivo.
