A presente invenção diz respeito aos géis bioestáveis contendo silício e aos processos para sua preparação. Os géis possuem propriedades que os tornam úteis na fabricação e reparo de biomateriais e dispositivos médicos, artigos ou implantes, em particular na fabricação de implantes de tecido mole tais como implantes de mama e no reparo de juntas ortopédicas tais como discos espinhais.
