Abstract

"MATERIAL DE CATODO ATIVO COMPREENDENDO UM ADITIVO PARA MELHORAR O DESEMPENHO DE SOBRE-DESCARGA E BATERIA SECUNDÁRIA DE LÍTIO USANDO TAL MATERIAL" Descreve-se um material de catodo ativo que provê para uma célula um desempenho que não é adversamente afetado por sobre-descarga, e uma célula secundária de lítio que usa tal material. Mais particularmente, o material de catodo ativo para uma célula secundária de lítio inclui um óxido de metal de transição de lítio capaz de intercalação/de-intercalação de íons de lítio, onde o material de catodo ativo inclui um óxido de lítio manganês tendo uma estrutura em camadas representado pela seguinte fórmula 1 como um aditivo: [fórmula 1] LiM~ x~Mn~ 1~O~ 2~ onde, x é um número que satisfaz 0,05 <243> X < 0,5 e M é pelo menos um metal selecionado do grupo que consiste em Cr, Al, Ni, Mn e Co. O óxido de lítio manganês da fórmula 1 usado como um aditivo para um material de catodo ativo de uma célula secundária de lítio provê íons de lítio em tal quantidade que compense uma reação irreversível que consome íons de lítio em um anodo, ou mais, provendo assim uma célula secundária de lítio que tem baixa perda de capacidade quando em sobre-descarga.
