Abstract

"APARELHO E MéTODO PARA CONTROLAR A DISTRIBUIçãO DE SINAL UTILIZANDO UM CANAL DE SUPORTE". Um aparelho de circuito de acesso (20) é capaz de distribuir sinais tais como sinais de áudio, vídeo e/ou dados em uma casa e/ou negócio utilizando a infra-estrutura de cabo coaxial existente, e a distribuição de sinal é controlada utilizando-se a infra-estrutura de cabo coaxial como um canal de suporte. De acordo com uma modalidade ilustrativa, o aparelho de circuito de acesso (20) inclui elementos de processamento de sinal (21, 24, 25, 26) para receber sinais de uma fonte de difusão e processamento de sinais recebidos para gerar sinais analógicos processados. Um demodulador de canal de suporte (27) recebe um sinal de solicitação de um dispositivo de cliente (30) através de um cabo coaxial conectando o aparelho de circuito de acesso (20) e o dispositivo de cliente (30) . Os sinais analógicos processados são fornecidos para o dispositivo de cliente (30) através do cabo coaxial em resposta ao sinal solicitado.
