Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA A PREPARAçãO DE ESTIRENOS"<D>. Processos para a preparação seletiva de um estireno da fórmula (1), por reação de uma acetofenona de fórmula (2) com hidrogênio, em presença de um catalisador contendo um ou mais óxidos, especialmente óxidos de metais, sendo que o óxido contém um elemento dos grupos Ia, IIa, IIIa, IVa, Va, VIa, Ib, IIb, IIIb, IVb, Vb, VIb, VIIb e/ou VIII ou um elemento do grupo dos lantanídeos. O catalisador contém, de preferência, um ou mais óxidos da fórmula geral (3) Zn~ a~M^ 1^~ b~M^ 2^O~ x~ na qual M^ 1^ representa pelo menos um elemento a partir do grupo Al, Zn, Ti e Si, M^ 2^ representa pelo menos um elemento a partir do grupo Cd, Cu, Ag, Ni, Co, Fe, Mn, Cr, Mo, Ta, Sc, W, V, Nb, Hf, Yt, B, In, Zn, Pb, Bi, Se, Ga, Ge, Sb, As, Te ou um elemento dos lantanídeos, a=1, b=0-20, c=0-3, x é o número de átomos de oxigênio necessário para o equilíbrio estequiométrico, que se origina correspondentemente do estado de oxidação de Zn, M^ 1^ e M^ 2^ ou compostos da fórmula (4) M^ 3^~ 2~M^4~O~ 4~, na qual M^ 3^ é um elemento com o estágio de oxidação I, II ou III, e M^ 4^ é um elemento com estágio de oxidação II, III ou VI.
