Abstract
<B>"ANULAçãO DE DEFEITOS DE IMAGEM"<D>. Um método para um aparato de remoção de efeitos produzidos por defeitos de imagem de superfície (12) e próxima à superfície em materiais de armazenamento (14) a partir de uma imagem digitalizada usando um registro infravermelho como controle de normalização. Cada pixel, num canal visível das imagens digitalizadas, é dividido pelo pixel correspondente no canal de controle infravermelho associado, após ter sido alterado em ganho para igualar o grau de defeito no canal visível. Ao alterar apropriadamente o ganho, anteriormente à divisão das informações de pixel, desequilíbrios entre os registros infravermelhos e visível, capazes de deixar resíduos defeituosos após a divisão, são reduzidos ou eliminados. Para remover o resíduo defeituoso um grau de anulação é estabelecida para cada região defeituosa baseado nos conteúdos infravermelho e visível nessa região. Num só exemplo, o ganho de articulação é aplicado de forma multiplicada ao logaritmo dos registros infravermelho e visível.
