Abstract
"PROCESSOS PARA O TRATAMENTO DE UM EFLUENTE DE GERADOR DE DIóXIDO DE CLORO, E, PARA O TRATAMENTO DE TORTA SALGADA DE SUBPRODUTO EFLUENTE DE CLORO SUBPRODUTO EFLUENTE DE CLORO SUBATMOSFéRICO". Um processo empregando uma Unidade de Retardamento ácido (ARU) de leito de resina fixa para separar ácido despendido de geradores de dióxido de cloro em um componente sulfato de sódio desacidificado e um componente ácido sulfúrico purificado. O sulfato de sódio desacidificado produzido é retornado para o ciclo de recuperação química da usina de "kraft" no lugar do efluente de gerador de dióxido de cloro ácido deste modo evitando a destruição de alcalinidade em licores de usina de polpa. Em adição, ácido sulfúrico é purificado fornecendo uma oportunidade para reutilização em várias aplicações de usina, e/ou concentrado e reciclado para o gerador. Alternativamente, para evitar custos de evaporação altos, o ácido purificado por ser usado para regenerar uma unidade de troca catiónica (CEU) usada na conversão de clorato de sódio em uma mistura ácido clórico/clorato de sódio que é alimentada no gerador no lugar de clorato de sódio e ácido sulfúrico. Usando esta abordagem, o requisito de ácido sulfúrico de geradores de dióxido de cloro e, sucessivamene, a quantidade de efluente de gerador ácido pode ser reduzida. O processo é aplicável a geradores de dióxido de cloro tanto atmosféricos como subatmosféricos. No último caso, a concentração do ácido sulfúrico purificado da ARU ou qualquer outro sistema de separação de ácido pode ser aumentada usando-se uma porção dele para dissolver o subproduto sesquissulfato de sódio de tais geradores.
