Abstract

a presente invenção refere-se a um método para a produção fermentativa de l-metionina e/ou seus derivados que compreende a etapa de i) cultivar um micro-organismo otimizado para a produção fermentativa de metionina em um meio de cultura apropriado que compreende uma fonte de carbono, uma fonte de enxofre e fonte de nitrogênio para produzir l-metionina; ii) recuperar a l-metionina obtida na etapa i); iii) adicionar um solvente alcoólico ou acetonitrila à fração que contém metionina obtida na etapa ii) para precipitar a l-metionina; e iv) recuperar l-metionina.
