Abstract
um método para separação de resíduos compreende irradiar o resíduo por uma fonte de radiação, capturar uma imagem do resíduo quando irradiado pela fonte de radiação; em que um item no resíduo é provido com um padrão, o padrão sendo provido em ou sobre uma superfície do item, o padrão formando uma repetição de pontos, um código sendo armazenado em uma sequência dos pontos adjacentes, processar a imagem para detectar o padrão; derivar o código da sequência dos pontos adjacentes do padrão; separar de acordo com o código o item compreendendo o padrão do resíduo. o padrão pode ser um padrão de relevo. o padrão de relevo pode compreender um padrão de saliências e rebaixos o padrão, tal como em uma forma de um relevo, pode também ser aplicado para identificar o item. o item pode ser um item fabricado, tal como embalagem, por exemplo, uma garrafa, como bandeja ou uma lâmina, ou qualquer outro item. a fonte de radiação provê irradiação de projetor ao longo de pelo menos parte da superfície do item. cada ponto forma uma saliência ou rebaixo da superfície do item, a irradiação de projetor ao longo de pelo menos parte da superfície do item formando pelos pontos uma imagem de altas luzes e sombras na superfície do item, a captura da imagem do resíduo quando irradiado pela fonte de radiação compreende capturar a imagem de altas luzes e sombras, e o código é derivado da imagem capturada de altas luzes e sombras.
