Abstract

trata-se de processos e sistemas biológicos de múltiplos estágios para converter uma fonte de carbono c1 em produtos finais desejados. os processos compreendem dividir um substrato que contém c1 gasoso, em paralelo, dentre múltiplos estágios de biorreator. alimenta-se sucessivamente com os produtos líquidos, em série, a partir de um primeiro estágio de biorreator para estágios de biorreator a montante. a operação pode ser simplificada evitando-se a exigência por separação e reciclagem de microrganismo em cada estágio. além disso, a transferência de massa de vapor e líquido geral para os estágios combinados é muito favorável, o que leva à alta produtividade de produto final com baixa produtividade de metabólito de subproduto em comparação.
