Abstract
Описаны многостадийные биологические процессы и системы для превращения источника С1-углерода в желательные товарные продукты. Процессы включают разделение газообразного С1-содержащего субстрата, по параллельной схеме, между множеством биореакторных стадий. Жидкие продукты последовательно подаются, по последовательной схеме, из первой биореакторной стадии в последующие биореакторные стадии. Процесс может быть упрощен путем устранения потребности в сепарации и рециркуляции микроорганизма на каждой стадии. Кроме того, общий массоперенос пар-жидкость для комбинации стадий является очень благоприятным, приводя к высокой производительности по товарному продукту со сравнительно низкой производительностью по побочному продукту-метаболиту.
