Abstract

a invenção refere-se a um método de cultivo de um protista do gênero aurantiochytrium mangrovei. o gênero é caracterizado geneticamente e em virtude do seu perfil lipídico. o método torna possível obter um alto rendimento de biomassa e enriquecimento dos protistas assim cultivados em um lipídio e, mais particularmente, em ácido docosa-hexaenoico (dha). a invenção se refere ao desenvolvimento de um meio de cultura que permite a produção, com alta densidade celular, de um protista rico em dha do gênero aurantiochytrium mangrovei. o meio é quimicamente definido com baixo teor de íons sódio (na+) e cloreto (cl-).
