Abstract
MÉTODO PARA SUPRIMIR OXIDAÇÃO DE FACE TRASEIRA DE REFRATÁRIO CONTENDO CARBONO, ESTRUTURA DE REVESTIMENTO E REFRATÁRIO CONTENDO CARBONO. É fornecido um método para suprimir a oxidação de face traseira e uma estrutura de revestimento, com as quais alta hermeticidade ao ar e um forte efeito de supressão de oxidação de face traseira são obtidos. O método para suprimir a oxidação de face traseira de um refratário contendo carbono de acordo com a presente invenção inclui formar uma camada aderente em uma face traseira do refratário contendo carbono aplicando-se uma solução aquosa de silicato de metal alcalino à face traseira e solidificando-se a solução aquosa de silicato de metal alcalino. A solução aquosa de silicato de metal alcalino contém um óxido de metal alcalino R2O (R é o elemento de metal alcalino) e SiO2 e tem uma razão molar de SiO2 em relação ao óxido de metal alcalino de 2,3 ou mais. A face traseira é localizada do lado oposto da face de trabalho. O refratário contendo carbono é utilizado em uma alta temperatura de 400 ºC ou superior, e contém 1% em massa ou mais de carbono ou um composto de carbono. A camada aderente sólida de silicato de metal alcalino é formada na face traseira do refratário contendo carbono.
