produto alimentício seco para animais de estimação, e seus métodos de fabricação e para aumentar sua palatabilidade. a presente invenção fornece composições e métodos para aumentar a palatabilidade de alimentos secos para animais de estimação. as composições compreendem ácido sórbico e/ou um sal do mesmo. as composições e os métodos aumentam, por um longo período de tempo, a palatabilidade sem perda de crocância dos péletes secos. o ácido sórbico e/ou o sal do mesmo pode(m) ser usado(s) na composição de base do alimento seco para animais de estimação e/ou em um revestimento do alimento seco para animais de estimação, e o ácido sórbico e/ou seu sal podem ser usados sem afetar a estrutura do produto.
