Abstract

a presente-se invenção refere-se a um método fornecido para produzir simultaneamente tanto células progenitoras de néfron quanto células progenitoras epiteliais uretéricas, que inclui a etapa de colocar células mesodérmicas intermediárias em contato com: fator de crescimento de fibroblasto (9) e/ou fator de crescimento de fibroblasto (20) e, opcionalmente, um ou mais dos selecionados a partir do grupo que consiste em: proteína morfogênica de osso 7; heparina; um ago-nista de wnt; ácido retinoico; e um antagonista de ra. as concentra-ções de agonista de wnt, ácido retinoico e/ou antagonista de ra podem ser manipuladas para favorecer a produção relativa de células progenitoras de néfron e células progenitoras epiteliais uretéricas. as células mesodérmicas intermediárias são, por fim, derivadas de células-tronco pluripotentes humanas por meio de um estágio de linhagem primitiva posterior. as células progenitoras de néfron e células progeni-toras epiteliais uretéricas podem ter finalidades como para reparação e regeneração de rim, bioimpressão de rins e compostos de triagem para nefrotoxicidade.
