Abstract

"PARTìCULAS BIOCIDAS DE POLIESTIRENO METILADO". Poliestireno metilado tendo grupos precursores N-halamina e N-halanina pendentes. Partículas biocidas foram preparadas através de reação de pérolas de poliestireno altamente reticuladas como materiais de partida com vários compostos precursores de N-halamina. As resultantes pérolas de polímero são halogenadas com cloro ou bromo. As pérolas porosas serão úteis em aplicações de desinfecção, assim como para sanitização e controle de odor nocivo quando misturadas com materiais absorventes em itens tais como fraldas descartáveis, roupa de natação infantil, almofadas de incontinência, bandagens, guardanapos sanitários, forros de calça, revestimentos de colchões, inserções de sapatos, esponjas, ninhada animal, carpetes, e tecidos.
