Abstract
"VáLVULA TENDO DESGASTE DE VEDAçãO REDUZIDO E FRICçãO REDUZIDA, E, MéTODO PARA MINIMIZAR O DESGASTE DE VEDAçãO DE VáLVULA ENQUANTO SE CONTROLA O FLUXO DE FLUIDOS". Uma válvula de desgaste de componente reduzido (10) é incluída de um corpo de válvula (12) tendo uma passagem por ela e um disco (14) fixado a um eixo rotativo (38). O disco é utilizado com uma vedação (18) formando um intervalo entre o disco e a vedação próximo ao eixo rotacional (16) do disco. Quando o disco está na posição aberta, o eixo principal de vedação é maior então do que o diâmetro de disco e eles não se tocam. Quando o disco gira para fechamento próximo, o perímetro do disco engata no eixo secundário da vedação (que é menor do que o diâmetro de disco), e o disco estica a vedação na direção de eixo secundário assim diminuindo o eixo principal, tal que o intervalo seja fechado. A vedação pode ser pré-formada em uma forma elíptica ou pode ser formada em uma forma elíptica por um mecanismo de retenção. A vedação pode ser uma peça única ou uma montagem de peças múltiplas encaixada por pressão no corpo de válvula.
