Abstract

"REATOR DE FISSãO PARA UMA INSTALAçãO DE CLAUS". A invenção se refere a um reator de fissão (1) para uma instalação de Claus, com uma caldeira refratariamente revestida (9) que contém uma câmara de combustão (2) com uma abertura de afluxo para uma mistura de gás de aquecimento, ar e gás ácido contendo H~ 2S~, uma câmara de catalisador (10) com uma carga de catalisador, e uma câmara (11), do lado do efluxo, com uma saída de gás (13) para gás de processo quente que contém enxofre elementar. De acordo com a invenção, a caldeira (9) é configurada como caldeira cilíndrica horizontal, na qual a câmara de combustão (2), a câmara de catalisador (10) e a câmara (11) do lado do efluxo são dispostas uma ao lado da outra, e que a câmara de catalisador (10) é delimitada em ambos lados na direção de fluxo por tijolos de grade (14) permeáveis a gás bem como tem uma abertura de enchimento (15) no lado da superfície lateral (15) para a introdução da carga de catalisador.
