Abstract

"PRODUTO DE ESPUMA DE VIDRO MELHORADA". A presente invenção refere-se a produtos de espuma de vidro melhorados preparados de vidros naturais, tais como minério de perlita fina não-expandida e perlita fina expandida, métodos de produção dos produtos de espuma de vidro melhorados, e métodos de uso destes que são fornecidos. O produto de espuma de vidro melhorado fabricado a partir de vidros naturais tem, por exemplo, uma condutividade térmica menor do que 0,101 W/m.K (0,70 Btu.polegada/h.F.pé^ 2^) a 22,77<198>C (73<198>F)(296<198>K), uma resistência compressiva maior do que 7,03 Kg/cm^ 2^ (100 PSI) (689 kPa) e uma densidade menor do que 320 kg/m^ 3^ (20 Ib/pé^ 3^). O produto de espuma de vidro melhorado fabricado a partir de vidros naturais pode ser empregado em uma variedade de aplicações incluindo aplicações de isolamento térmico e acústico.
