Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA PREPARAR UM ARTIGO ESPUMADO ORIENTADO, ARTIGO DE MúLTIPLAS CAMADAS, E, ARTIGO ESPUMADO". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para produzir uma espuma de polipropileno pelas etapas de misturar um polipropileno de alta resistência em fusão e um agente de expansão para formar uma mistura fundida, reduzir a temperatura da mistura fundida na saída do aparelho para uma temperatura de saída que não esteja a mais de 30<198>C acima da temperatura de fusão do polipropileno puro ao mesmo tempo mantendo a mistura fundida em uma pressão suficiente para prevenir formação de espuma; passar a mistura através do citado orifício de conformação de saída e expor a mistura à pressão atmosférica, por meio do qual o agente de expansão se expande causando a formação de célula resultando em formação de espuma, e orientar a citada espuma. A espuma é útil como suportes de fita, isolamento térmico e acústico e como um refletor difuso para uso em aplicações ópticas tais como mostradores de computador.
