Description
当業界では、基材間に接続を与える多くの種類の構造および封止を与える要素の多くのシステムがあるが、改善された封止要素およびシステムが尚必要とされている。本明細書に記載したポリマー構造体および複合体ウェブを用いて、封止要素およびシステムを与えることができる。例えば、上述した通り、図12に示すような形成ツールにより与えられる、図13に示すようなポリマー構造体は、機械的締結システムに有用な表面フィーチャー352を与えることができる。さらに、図25Eに示すような特定の複合体ウェブ構造は、封止配向を与えるための、例えば、ファイバー、ループ等を、ポリマー構造体914eの分離部分間の固定材料により、機械的締結を与えることができる。更なる例証の封止要素およびシステムのいくつかを後述するが、本発明により考えられる封止要素およびシステムは、本明細書に記載した実施形態に限定されないものと考えられる。
図15に示すのと同様のシステムを用いて複合体ウェブを作成した。ギアポンプを備えた直径40mmの二軸押出し機を用いて、約246℃の溶融温度で溶融ポリプロピレンポリマー(7C05N、ハンツマン(Huntsman))をダイへ分配した。溶融ポリマーのフィルムを、加熱したドクターブレードおよび冷却した形成ロールの界面領域へと垂直下方へ押出すようにダイを配置した。
図15に示すのと同様のシステムを用いて複合体ウェブを作成した。ギアポンプを備えた直径40mmの二軸押出し機を用いて、約246℃の溶融温度でスチレン−エチレンブチレン−スチレンブロックコポリマー(クラトン(KRATON G−1657)からなる溶融ポリマーをダイへ分配した。溶融ポリマーのフィルムを、加熱したドクターブレードおよび冷却した形成ロールの界面領域へと垂直下方へ押出すようにダイを配置した。ドクターブレードを246℃の温度に維持し、ロール内部に冷却油を循環させることにより、形成ロールを30℃の温度に維持した。ドクターブレードを、直線1インチ当たり450ポンド(788ニュートン/直線1cm)の圧力で形成ロールに対して保持した。
Claims (3)
- 外部表面を有する形成ツールであって、その外部表面に形成された1つ以上の凹部を含む形成ツールを用意する工程と、
前記形成ツールの前記外部表面上に溶融した熱可塑性組成物を供給する工程と、
前記熱可塑性組成物の溶融処理温度より低いロール温度に前記形成ツールの前記外部表面を維持する工程と、
前記形成ツールの前記外部表面上の溶融した前記熱可塑性組成物をワイピングして、溶融した前記熱可塑性組成物の少なくとも一部を前記1つ以上の凹部に入れる工程と、
前記1つ以上の凹部にある前記熱可塑性組成物を基材に、前記基材の第1の主面を前記1つ以上の凹部にある前記熱可塑性組成物と接触させることにより転写する工程と、
前記転写後に前記基材と前記1つ以上の凹部にある前記熱可塑性組成物を前記形成ツールから分離する工程と、
を含む、複合体ウェブの製造方法であって、
前記転写工程において、前記1つ以上の凹部にある前記熱可塑性組成物は、それぞれ、前記形成ツールの前記外部表面に形成された前記1つ以上の凹部の表面から遠位にある前記熱可塑性組成物の部分が、少なくとも基材の第1の主面と接触するまで熱可塑性組成物の溶融処理温度以上に保たれる第1の部分と、溶融した前記熱可塑性組成物の少なくとも一部が前記1つ以上の凹部に入れられた後、かつ、前記基材の前記第1の主面と接触する前に、前記溶融処理温度より低くなる第2の部分とを含み、
前記複合体ウェブは、前記第1の主面を含む基材と、前記基材の前記第1の主面に取り付けられた熱可塑性組成物の1つ以上のポリマー構造体とを含み、前記1つ以上のポリマー構造体の各ポリマー構造体が、前記基材の前記第1の主面の表面領域を占めており、前記1つ以上のポリマー構造体の少なくとも1つのポリマー構造体により占められた表面領域が、前記ポリマー構造体の前記熱可塑性組成物が前記第1の主面に取り付けられた結合領域と、前記ポリマー構造体が前記基材の前記第1の主面に取り付けられていない少なくとも1つの分離領域とを含み、
前記結合領域は前記第1の部分を含み、前記分離領域は第2の部分を含む、
複合体ウェブの製造方法。 - 第1の主面を含む基材と、
前記基材の前記第1の主面に取り付けられた熱可塑性組成物の1つ以上のポリマー構造体とを含み、
前記1つ以上のポリマー構造体の各ポリマー構造体が、前記基材の前記第1の主面の表面領域を占めており、
前記1つ以上のポリマー構造体の少なくとも1つのポリマー構造体により占められた表面領域が、前記ポリマー構造体の前記熱可塑性組成物が前記第1の主面に取り付けられた結合領域と、前記ポリマー構造体が前記基材の前記第1の主面に取り付けられていない少なくとも1つの分離領域とを含み、
さらに、前記分離領域において、前記少なくとも1つのポリマー構造体が、前記基材の前記第1の主面に片持ち状態にあり、位置合せされている複合体ウェブ。 - 請求項2に記載の複合体ウェブと、
前記1つ以上のポリマー構造体の前記分離領域を受けることのできる1つ以上の開口部を含む補助表面とを含み、
閉じた構成において、前記基材の前記第1の主面が前記補助表面と向き合っており、
さらに、前記少なくとも1つのポリマー構造体の前記少なくとも1つの分離領域が、前記補助表面と前記基材の互いに対する動きが制限されるように、前記補助表面の前記1つ以上の開口部内に配置されている封止システム。
