Abstract

"ELEMENTO DE INSERçãO PARA VEDAçãO DE CAVIDADE". Trata-se de um elemento de inserção (8) para vedar cavidades (6, 7), em transportadores de carroceria de veículo (4) tem meios de vedação constituídos por um material espumável (11) o qual é fixado nas cavidades (6, 7) por meios de fixação (9). O elemento de inserção (8) compreende um material espumável (11) e uma estrutura de suporte (10) que compreende uma armação (13) e uma parte interna (14) para transportar o material espumável (11). A armação (13) possui pelo menos duas faces de suporte laterais e dispostas de forma não imediatamente oposta (12), e carrega meios de fixação (9). Com este arranjo, o material espumável pode envolver totalmente os meios de fixação (9) com espuma durante o processo de formação de espuma e pode fluir para o interior das aberturas de uma folha de metal intermediária (5) prevista para receber os meios de fixação (9). Isto assegura que estas aberturas são impermeavelmente vedadas contra ar e ruído durante o processo de formação de espuma. O material espumável é constituído preferivelmente de um polímero termoplástico o qual pode formar uma espuma com células fechadas, desse modo aumentando as propriedades de absorção de ruído e isolamento de ruído, enquanto também atua como uma barreira de umidade e um vedante impermeável.
