Abstract
"DISPOSITIVO PARA CULTURA DE MICROORGANISMOS, E, MéTODO PARA DETECçãO DE MICROORGANISMOS". Dispositivos para cultura de microorganismos incluem um recipiente e dentro do recipiente uma camada imobilizadora feita de uma rede de cadeias poliméricas interconectadas. Os espaços intersticiais entre as cadeias poliméricas interconectadas são de um tamanho em média menor do que um tamanho médio de microorganismos a serem cultivados de tal modo que substancialmente todos os microorganismos em uma amostra durante a cultura sejam imobilizados sobre a superfície da camada de imobilização. Métodos relacionados para a detecção de microorganismos incluem a provisão de um dispositivo como descrito acima e a adição de uma amostra fluida no dispositivo.
