Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE UM PRODUTO DE FERMENTAçãO ALVO". A presente invenção provê um processo para a produção de um produto de fermentação alvo. Este processo inclui a provisão de um meio de fermentação contendo um microorganismo recombinantemente produzido que superproduz um produto de fermentação e contém uma mutação que causa crescimento auxotrófico do microorganismo em que a auxotrofia dentro do microorganismo não compromete a capacidade do microorganismo de produzir o produto de fermentação. O meio é então fornecido em excesso com todos os substratos necessários para a produção de produto de fermentação e em quantidades de limitação de crescimento com um substrato que complementa a auxotrofia. São também providos células de hospedeiro, vetores, e seq³ências de polinucleotídeos usados no processo.
