Abstract

"MéTODO DE PREPARAR UMA PELìCULA SOLúVEL EM áGUA". A presente invenção proporciona um método de preparar uma película solúvel em água. O método compreende (a) preparar uma solução compreendendo um formador de película, um plastificante solúvel em água, um agente farmaceuticamente ativo, e um solvente; (b) secar a solução em uma temperatura de cerca de 50 a cerca de 100<198>C, para formar uma película; e (c) curar a película em uma temperatura de cerca de 15 a cerca de 60<198>C e em uma umidade relativa de pelo menos cerca de 30%. O formador de película é um ácido poliacrílico, derivados de celulose, um óxido de polietileno, um álcool polivinílico, ou qualquer combinação de quaisquer dos precedentes. O plastificante solúvel em água contém pelo menos um de um grupo hidroxila, amido, ou amino, e tem um ponto de ebulição maior do que cerca de 150<198>C. A película solúvel em água da presente invenção pode ser incorporada em dispositivos vaginais, tais como os tampões e os aplicadores. Este método produz uma película uniforme e homogêneo, o qual é mais flexível e encharca menos do que as películas solúveis em água anteriores, especialmente aqueles incorporados nas formas de dosagem vaginais. Como um resultado, a película é menos irritante. Além disso, ao contrário da maior parte das películas solúveis em água da técnica anterior, a película pode ser moldado para proporcionar uma área de contato maior dentro de uma cavidade do corpo, tal como a vagina, a fim de aumentar a liberação de droga. A película é também não-desordenada.
