Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con un método para preparar una película soluble en agua, el método comprende los pasos de (a) preparar una solución que comprende (i) un formador de película seleccionado del grupo que consiste en ácidos poliacrílicos, derivados de celulosa, óxido de polietileno, alcohol polivinílico, y cualquier combinación de los anteriores, (ii) un plastificante soluble en agua que tiene por lo menos un grupo hidroxilo, amido o amino y un punto de ebullición de más de alrededor de 150°C, (iii) un agente farmacéuticamente activo, y (iv) un solvente; (b) secar la solución a una temperatura de alrededor de 50 y aproximadamente 100°C para formar una película; y (c) curar la película a una temperatura de alrededor de 15 a aproximadamente 60°C y a una humedad relativa de por lo menos aproximadamente 30%.
