Abstract

Lors de la coulée à partir du haut fourneau, la fonte - séparée du laitier - est soumise à un traitement au moyen de réactifs solides et éventuellement gazeux afin de réaliser un bon traitement de désulfuration et de déphosphoration, par exemple pour permettre la production de masses d'aciers microalliés présentant des caractéristiques technologiques élevées. On obtient aussi des avantages importants en comparaison des traitements connus de la fonte en chariot torpille.
