Fig. 3 montre le hangar en coupe transversale.
G1 = G et H. m = G. n.

Folding door or sliding folding door.
The invention relates to a folding door or a sliding folding door formed of several folding panels hinged together, for hangars of flying machines, etc.
In order to prevent in doors of this kind the warping of the last panel during the opening and closing of the door, a special guide device independent of the type of door control is according to the present invention hinged to the last panel. .
The invention is shown in the drawing in its application to a folding door chosen as an exemplary embodiment.

Fig. 1 is a plan view of a hangar showing a doorway A-B. As the door, we chose a folding door made up of six hinged panels. By partially folding this door, half of the bay opening has been cleared.
Fig. 2 is a front view of the hangar. We can see the folded panels a. To the last panel is articulated an arm b provided with a guide roller r. Preferably, the last folding panel is articulated to a sliding panel b1, which then also acts as an arm, the arm b being however omitted.
Fig. 3 shows the hangar in cross section. We see a folded panel with its lower vertical roller ±. and the upper horizontal guide roller d, as well as the lower running rail e and the upper guide rail f. The hinges g, h, i and} ± ensure the articulated connection of the different door panels.
The vertical force G designates the self-weight of the door, the action of which is indicated by an arrow. This eccentric force G is balanced by the reaction G1 and by the torque H.m. The G1 and H forces can be easily determined by the? equations:
G1 = G and H. m = G. n.
Fig. 4 shows a plan on a larger scale, a pair of panels without the hinged connection to the two neighboring panels. If the two lower vertical rollers c are kept apart by the distance L1, it will be noted that the horizontal guide rollers d which are first located vertically above them approach under the action of the self-weight G of the door up to 18- only be separated by the distance L2. The forces which cause the warping are directed in opposite directions and have equal values, so that they are balanced. The roller d. is always vertically above the roller c and the

hinge h vertically above the hinge &.
It is only for the end panels that this is not the case. This is why the arm b¯ shown in Figs is still connected to it. 1 and 2, which is supported by the roller r., Or a folding sliding panel b1, the weight of which must balance the force X. This can be easily determined as one of the two lateral components of H. In this way, the last edge c - d of the door remains vertical and wedges are avoided.
Obviously, nothing prevents the sliding panel b1 from being established in such a way that when the door is open it can also be further folded laterally to increase the opening of the door opening, since this panel] 21 must only act when the door is opened or closed.
CLAIMS
