<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to a wing for a window or a door with a profile frame and insulating glazing, which is fastened in a receptacle of the profile frame surrounding it at the end by an adhesive layer, the adhesive layer covering the circumferential gap between the end faces of the insulating glazing and fills the circumferential surface of the receptacle opposite these end surfaces at least in circumferential areas.
In order to simplify the installation of insulating glazing, it is known (EP 1 070 824 A2) to glue the insulating glazing into a receptacle of the profile frame. For this purpose, an adhesive is applied in strips along the fold surface of the circumferential frame rebate forming the receptacle, which is parallel to the insulating glazing, before the insulating glazing is inserted into the receptacle. When inserting, the insulating glazing is therefore pressed onto the all-round adhesive strip, which takes over the connection between the insulating glazing and the profile frame. A disadvantage of this known construction, however, is that the load caused by the insulating glazing has to be transferred to the profile frame exclusively via the rebate web overlapping the insulating glazing.
In addition, only the inner pane is supported on the frame, but not the outer pane, which is supported by the inner pane via the edge connection between the inner and outer pane, which increases the risk of the one-sided lowering of the outer pane due to the circumferential gap between the two End faces of the insulating glazing and the folding surfaces of the receptacle parallel to these end faces.
In order to be able to fasten a laminated glass in a profile frame of an explosion-proof window in a simple manner, it is known (EP 1 004 740 A2) to fix the laminated glass inserted in a frame rebate with the aid of an adhesive layer which covers the circumferential gap between the laminated glass and the Filled in. So that the adhesive layer can be limited to the end face areas of the laminated glass, a profile bar can be glued in the transition area between the circumferential surface of the fold and the subsequent fold surface that overlaps the edge of the laminated glass and limits the adhesive layer. This profile bar prevents the laminated glass from being replaced, even if the adhesive layer is severed because an adhesive bridge to the profile frame remains over the profile bar.
In addition, the removal of moisture penetrating between the laminated glass and the frame profile is made more difficult by the profile rod, the adhesive layer being exposed to the disadvantageous influence of the moisture.
To change an insulating glazing fastened by gluing, it is known (DE 41 42 151 A1) to provide a subframe which is detachably fastened to the window sash and which supports the insulating glazing, but the construction effort is increased by the subframe.
In addition, the subframe attached to the insulating glazing by means of an adhesive layer cannot be removed from the insulating glazing.
The invention is therefore based on the object to improve a wing for a window or door of the type described with simple means so that the advantages of the known adhesive connection between the insulating glazing and the profile frame, in particular with regard to the assembly can be used without it Disadvantages, especially with regard to the interchangeability of the insulating glazing, have to be accepted.
The invention achieves the stated object in that the receptacle on the circumferential surface opposite the end faces of the insulating glazing in the area of a cover pane of the insulating glazing has a freely projecting boundary web for the adhesive layer that runs in the circumferential direction.
The freely projecting boundary web not only limits the adhesive layer locally to the end face area of the insulating glazing, but also creates an advantageous prerequisite for replacing the insulating glazing, because the adhesive layer can be cut through to the boundary web without any risk of damage to the profile frame, which can be done with Distance runs in front of the rebate surface overlapping the edge of the insulating glazing and can therefore be damaged without affecting the frame.
If the boundary web ends at a distance in front of the insulating glazing or the peripheral surface of the receptacle, not only is it easier to insert the insulating glazing into the receptacle because of the existing play, but also any replacement of the insulating glazing that may be necessary because the adhesive layer is continuous without any remaining Adhesive bridges in the area of play between
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Fastening web and double glazing or peripheral surface of the receptacle can be cut. The size of the possible play depends, however, on the flow behavior of the not yet cured adhesive when it is introduced into the peripheral gap between the insulating glazing and the peripheral surface of the receptacle.
Another possibility for the complete separation of the adhesive layer is to cut through the boundary web with the adhesive layer, which requires a corresponding design of the boundary web.
The free distance between the boundary web and the rebate surface overlapping the edge of the insulating glazing represents an advantageous derivation of any moisture penetrating into this area. To support this moisture dissipation along the frame legs, the receptacle on the side of the boundary web facing away from the adhesive layer can form a recessed groove ,
To produce a wing according to the invention, the insulating glazing is first inserted into the receptacle of the profile frame and then the circumferential gap between the end faces of the insulating glazing and the circumferential surface of the receptacle opposite these end faces is filled with adhesive at least in circumferential areas up to the boundary web. After the adhesive layer filling the peripheral gap has hardened, the sash is fully resilient. If the adhesive is introduced all the way into the circumferential gap, there is an all-round tight connection between the profile frame and the insulating glazing, without additional measures being required.
As already stated, the layer of adhesive in the circumferential gap between the insulating glazing and the receptacle of the profile frame surrounding the insulating glazing should allow the individual panes of the insulating glazing to be well supported with respect to the profile frame. This can advantageously be ensured if the circumferential gap is filled with adhesive at a depth corresponding to the thickness of the insulating glazing, so that the width of the resulting strip of adhesive corresponds to the total thickness of the insulating glazing.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example. Show it
Fig. 1 a wing according to the invention for a window or a door in sections in a cross section of a frame leg and the
2 to 4 a system for the manufacture of sashes according to the invention in different working positions in a schematic plan view.
A wing of a window or a door according to the invention consists of a profile frame 1 and insulating glazing 2, which is inserted into a receptacle 3 of the profile frame. For this purpose, the frame legs 4 form a peripheral surface 6 lying opposite the end faces 5 of the insulating glazing 2 and enclosing the insulating glazing 2, as can be seen in FIG. 1. An adhesive layer 7 is used to fasten the insulating glazing 2 in the receptacle 3 and fills the circumferential gap 8 between the end faces 5 of the insulating glazing 2 and the circumferential surface 6 of the receptacle 3.
Since the adhesive layer 7 has a width adapted to the thickness of the insulating glazing 2, the cover panes 11 of the insulating glazing 2, which are connected to one another via a spacer profile 9 and a seal 10, are each supported individually against the frame legs 4, which is an advantageous transfer of load from the insulating glazing 2 allowed on the frame legs 4. A bond effect caused by this type of adhesive has the advantage that the rigidity of the insulating glazing 2 can be used without restriction for the strength of the wing.
As can be seen in FIG. 1, the profile of the frame legs 4 forms a web 12 which is comparable to a rebate stop of a conventional receptacle 3, but this web 12 is not used for fastening the insulating glazing 2 in the receptacle 3, but only for covering the peripheral edge the insulating glazing 2, against which a seal 13 inserted into the web 12 bears. On the opposite inside of the insulating glazing 2, the covering of its edge is achieved by a covering profile 14 and a seal 15 held in the covering profile 14, which in turn only fulfills sealing tasks and makes no contribution to holding the insulating glazing 2. The cover profile 14 therefore only needs to be snapped into a groove 16 of the frame leg 4.
To produce a wing according to the invention, the profile frame 1 assembled from frame legs 4 is positioned on an assembly table 17 such that the insulating glazing 2 is inserted into the receptacle 3 provided for it with the aid of a conveyor device 18
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
can. This conveying device 18 has a lifting device 20 provided with suction cups 19 in order to align a received insulating glazing 2 with the aid of a swivel arm 21 with respect to the profile frame 1 on the assembly table 17 and to insert it into the profile frame. The peripheral gap 8 (FIG. 3) which remains free between the insulating glazing 2 and the receptacle 3 of the profile frame 1 can now be filled with adhesive.
So that the adhesive introduced into the circumferential gap 8 cannot flow out of the circumferential gap 8 against the web 12 of the frame legs, this gap is closed by a limiting web 22 on the circumferential surface 6 of the receptacle 3 provided in the area of the outer cover plate 11, as is the case here is indicated in Fig. 1. It is therefore only necessary to fill the peripheral gap 8 to a depth corresponding to the thickness of the insulating glazing 2 in order to ensure the desired adhesive bond between the end faces 5 of the insulating glazing 2 and the frame legs 4. After the adhesive material introduced into the circumferential gap 8 has hardened accordingly, the fully assembled wing can be lifted off the assembly table 17 via the insulating glazing 2 with the aid of the conveying device 18 and can be supplied for any further treatment.
A further profile frame for mounting insulating glass 2 can be placed on the assembly table 17 that has become free, the assembly process described being repeated.
