Description

The invention relates to a sash for a window or a door according to the preamble of claim 1, comprising: a circumferentially closed profile frame for receiving plate-shaped glazing, which profile frame forms a rebate with a rebate base and a rebate overlap which is substantially L-shaped in cross-section; a plate-shaped glazing inserted into the profile frame, which glazing has a circumferential end face which is arranged facing the rebate base, the rebate overlap overlapping a lateral edge of the glazing; and a first adhesive layer which is arranged in the rebate base between the end face of the glazing and the profile frame and through which the glazing is attached to the profile frame. Between the rebate overlap and the side edge of the glazing, a second layer of adhesive fastening the glazing to the profile frame is arranged.

From the EP 1 373 672 B1 For the purpose of easy interchangeability of the glazing, it is known to glue the glazing to the profile frame exclusively in the base of the rebate.

From the EP 0 937 856 A2 a wing is known whose glazing is designed as a so-called stepped glass. This means that one of the individual panes from which the glazing is composed protrudes in the circumferential direction relative to the other individual pane, the glazing being glued to the side of the profile frame both in the rebate base and in the area of the overhang of the said individual pane.

Gattungsgemäße Flügel sind aus der EP 1 353 035 A2 (insbesondere Figur 1), und aus der WO 2014/026756 A1 bekannt.Generic wings are from the EP 1 353 035 A2 (in particular Figure 1 ), and from the WO 2014/026756 A1 known.

The WO 2008/119334 A2 shows a wing with a circumferential adhesive layer, which is arranged between a support bracket (reference numeral 10) and a disc.

Manufacturers of sashes of the type mentioned are confronted in the market with demands for ever larger sizes of window and door elements. Larger sash dimensions, in particular outer sash dimensions, can only be achieved if the statics of the wings concerned are improved at the same time.

The invention is based on the object of further developing a wing of the known type in such a way that its statics are further improved and thereby larger wing dimensions, in particular wing outer dimensions, can be achieved. In addition, the production should be simplified and accelerated.

The object is achieved according to the invention by a sash for a window or a door with the features of claim 1.

Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand von Unteransprüchen.Advantageous further developments of the invention are the subject of subclaims.

According to the invention, a sash for a window or a door, comprising: a circumferentially closed profile frame for receiving a plate-shaped glazing, which profile frame forms a rebate which is substantially L-shaped in cross section with a rebate base and a rebate overlap; a plate-shaped glazing inserted into the profile frame, which glazing has a circumferential end face which is arranged facing the rebate base, the rebate overlap overlapping a lateral edge of the glazing; a first adhesive layer which is arranged in the rebate base between the end face of the glazing and the profile frame and through which the glazing is attached to the profile frame; a second adhesive layer which attaches the glazing to the profile frame and which is arranged between the rabbet overlap and the lateral edge of the glazing; characterized in that the second adhesive layer and the first adhesive layer are designed, at least in some areas, as a continuous adhesive layer. In this context, it is possible to use the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer actually to be formed together in a single gluing step. Alternatively, there is the possibility of forming the two adhesive layers separately.

The adhesive layers can be produced by means of a flowable adhesive (so-called wet gluing), e.g. by means of a two-component adhesive based on silicone or the like, or in the form of adhesive tapes (so-called dry gluing). A combination of these bonding techniques is also possible.

In the context of the invention, the interaction of the first and second adhesive layers results in an improved statics of the entire wing, so that larger wing dimensions, in particular wing outer dimensions, can be realized.

A particularly advantageous development of the present invention provides that the glazing is designed as multi-pane insulating glazing, in particular as multi-pane insulating glazing with two or more (in particular three) individual panes. These individual panes are regularly arranged in parallel and at a distance from one another and are connected to one another in a gas-tight manner via a so-called edge bond. In such a development of the invention, the individual panes of the insulating glazing can be connected to one another in a shear-resistant manner through the first and second adhesive layers. In this way, movement of the individual panes against one another is prevented, and the static properties of the insulating glazing can be used in a particularly advantageous manner to improve the statics of the entire sash.

In another further development of the sash according to the invention, it can also be provided in this context that the individual panes of the multi-pane insulating glazing have essentially identical dimensions, preferably apart from their respective thickness. The dimensions mentioned relate to the height and width of the individual panes if the insulating glazing as a whole in the embodiment described above - in contrast to the prior art - is not designed with stepped glasses.

Yet another further development of the sash according to the invention provides that the first adhesive layer extends, preferably, from an edge of the glazing facing away from the rebate overlap in the direction of the rebate overlap up to about half the thickness of the glazing, without the invention being restricted thereto.

In yet another further development of the sash according to the invention, it can be provided that the second adhesive layer extends from an edge of the glazing facing the rebate overlap parallel to the glazing, preferably up to approximately a seal arranged between the glazing and the profile frame.

In addition, in a further development of the sash according to the invention, it can be provided that the rebate overlap is arranged on an outer side of the sash when the sash is in an assembled state, that is, when the sash is built into a building opening. Correspondingly, the second adhesive layer is also arranged on the named outer side of the wing in the assembled state.

A wing of the type mentioned regularly has a so-called glass bead or glass retaining bead on its inside. Accordingly, in the course of another development of the wing according to the invention, it can be provided that the first adhesive layer ends at a distance from a glass retaining bead of the wing. In this way, the glazing bead can be easily installed and removed at a later date.

In the course of another development of the sash according to the invention, however, it can also be provided that the first adhesive layer touches the glass retaining bead of the sash or that the glass retaining bead is attached to the profile frame of the sash by means of the first adhesive layer. This can in particular contribute to increasing the security against break-ins.

Tests by the applicant have shown that the use of the aforementioned first and second adhesive layers in the manufacture of a wing can improve the statics by about 30% in the case of so-called differential climatic loads. In addition, there can be a significant improvement in the statics under load perpendicular to a pane plane of the glazing, for example under wind load.

Further properties and advantages of the invention emerge from the following description of an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing.

The single figure shows a section through a window system with a sash not according to the invention.

The entire window system is denoted by the reference number 1 in the figure. It comprises a sash 2 with a sash frame (profile frame) 3, which is designed to be movable, and a frame 4, which is regularly fixedly connected to a building in the area of a building opening. The frame 4 will not be discussed further here.

The casement 3 comprises a number of profile elements 3 a, which are connected to one another in a circumferentially closed manner to form the casement 3. The casement 3 or the individual profile elements 3a form a rebate 3b which is essentially L-shaped in cross section and which comprises a rebate base 3c and a lateral rebate overlap 3d, the rebate base 3c and the rebate overlap being orthogonal to one another, as shown. The fold 3b is used to receive a plate-shaped glazing of the wing, which is shown in the figure at reference number 5. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the glazing is designed as multi-pane insulating glazing and comprises two parallel and spaced-apart individual panes (cover panes) 5a, 5b, which are permanently and gas-tightly connected to one another via a so-called edge bond 5c. The glazing 5 has a circumferential end face 5d which is arranged facing the rebate base 3c. The rebate overlap 3d overlaps a lateral edge 5e of the glazing 5 in a certain area. Reference numeral 6 denotes a first adhesive layer which is arranged in the rebate base 3c between the end face 5d of the glazing 5 and the profile frame 3 or the profile element 3a. The glazing 5 is permanently attached to the profile frame 3 by this first adhesive layer 6. In addition, a second adhesive layer 7 is arranged between the rebate overlap 3d and the lateral edge 5e of the glazing 5, which also serves to fasten the glazing 5 to the profile frame 3 or the profile element 3a. According to the invention, the adhesive layers 6, 7 touch one another or are designed as a single, continuous adhesive layer.

As can also be seen from the figure, the individual panes 5a, 5b of the glazing 5 have essentially identical dimensions, so that none of the individual panes 5a, 5b protrudes beyond the other individual pane in the manner of a so-called stepped glass. According to the figure, the individual disks 5a, 5b even have an identical thickness, but this is not necessarily the case. There can also be more than two individual panes.

According to the embodiment not according to the invention shown, the first adhesive layer 6 and the second adhesive layer 7 are spatially spaced from one another, so that a free space 3e results in the area of the rebate base 3c which is not filled with adhesive. In this way, the amount of adhesive used can be reduced, which can bring certain cost advantages with it. From an adhesive point of view, too, it can be advantageous if the adhesive is not "glued around the corner" because each of the adhesive layers 6, 7 then only has two adhesive surfaces (each on the profile element 3a and on the glazing 5).

A flowable adhesive, for example a two-component silicone-based adhesive, or an adhesive tape is preferably used to produce the adhesive layers 6, 7, but the invention is not restricted thereto. It is also within the scope of the invention to use different adhesives or adhesive techniques to produce the first adhesive layer 6 and to produce the second adhesive layer 7, for example a flowable adhesive on the one hand and an adhesive tape on the other.

As also shown in the figure, the first adhesive layer 6 extends from an edge 5f ′ of the glazing 5 facing away from the rebate overlap 3d in the direction of the rebate overlap 3d, namely approximately or slightly further than to the middle or half the thickness of the glazing 5 However, the invention is not limited to such dimensions of the first adhesive layer.

According to the embodiment shown, the second adhesive layer 7 extends on an edge 5e 'of the glazing 5 facing a rebate overlap 3d parallel to the glazing 5 or its edge 5e, namely up to one between the glazing 5 and the profile frame 3 in the area of the Fold overlap 3d arranged seal 8. Also in this regard, the invention is not limited to such dimensions of the second adhesive layer 7.

In the embodiment shown, it is the case that the rebate overlap 3d is arranged on the outer side of the sash in the shown assembly state of the sash 2 or the entire window system 1. Correspondingly, reference number 9 in the figure denotes the (building) outside (weather side), while reference number 10 denotes the (building) inside.

Finally, in the figure at reference numeral 11 in the area of the lateral edge 5f of the glazing 5, a so-called glass bead or glass retaining bead is also shown, which is regularly present in window systems 1 of the type shown, which is known to the person skilled in the art. In the present case, the first adhesive layer 6 is spaced apart from the glass retaining bead 11, so that the glass retaining bead 11 can be installed and removed again independently of the first adhesive layer 6.

In a modification of the embodiment shown, however, it can also be provided that the first adhesive layer 6 extends up to the glass retaining bead 11 so that the glass retaining bead 11 can be glued to the profile frame 3 or the profile element 3a. This can serve to further increase the burglar protection.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the individual panes 5a, 5b of the glazing 5 or the insulating glass composite are connected to one another in a shear-resistant manner by the adhesive layers 6, 7. This prevents the individual panes 5a, 5b from moving relative to one another, and the static properties of the insulating glass composite can be used to improve the statics of the entire sash 2.
