Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Verbindung für Rohrleitungen aus Harz auf Vinylchloridbasis mit einem Dichtungsring aus thermoplastischem Kautschuk, der durch Schweißen in der Verbindung befestigt wird.
Es ist schon vorgeschlagen worden, Verbindungen für Rohrleitungen aus Kunststoff auszuführen, die einen Dichtungsring aus thermoplastischem Kautschuk verwenden, der durch Schweißen in der Verbindung befestigt wird.
So wird in der BE-PS-861021 und in der FR-PS-2444864 eine aus Polyolefin bestehende Verbindung beschrieben, die mit einem Dichtungsring aus Ethylen-Propylen-Dien-Methylen-Kautschuk, der mit Schwefel oder mit einem schwefelbildenden Stoff vulkanisiert wird, ausgerüstet ist, der durch Schweißen in der Verbindung befestigt werden kann.
Dennoch kann ein aus einem solchen Material bestehender Dichtungsring nicht richtig durch Schweißen in einer Verbindung von Rohrleitungen, die aus Harz auf Vinylchloridbasis besteht, mangels der gegenseitigen Verträglichkeit befestigt werden.
Zwar ist in der BE-PS-867993 vorgeschlagen worden, Verbindungen von Rohrleitungen aus Harz auf Vinylchloridbasis, die mit einem Dichtungsring aus thermoplastischem Kautschuk aus vorzugsweise weichmacherhaltigen Polyvinylchloridverbindungen, die Nitrilkautschuk und Polyurethan enthalten, und der durch Schweißen befestigt wird, auszuführen, aber, um in diesem Falle befriedigende Produkte zu erhalten, ist es erforderlich, wenigstens eines der Verbindungseiemente einer Bestrahlung mit stark durchdringender Strahlung auszusetzen, um eine Vernetzung hervorzurufen. In dieser Technik müssen demzufolge Zusammensetzungen auf weichmacherhaltiger Polyvinylchloridbasis verwendet werden, bei denen die beabsichtigte Vernetzungsreaktion überwiegt. Auf alle Fälle ist es erforderlich, eine Bestrahlungsvorrichtung anzuordnen, einen Bestrahlungsschritt vorzusehen und alle in Bestrahlungsvorgängen gebotenen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen zu treffen, um solche Verbindungen auszuführen.
Es ist möglich in konventionellen Herstellvorrichtungen Verbindungen für Rohrleitungen aus Harz auf Vinylchloridbasis mit einem Dichtungsring aus thermoplastischem Kautschuk herzustellen, der in den Verbindungen durch Schweißen befestigt werden kann, ohne irgendeine Bestrahlungsbehandlung vornehmen zu müssen.
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Dichtungsring für Rohrleitungsverbindungen aus Harz auf Vinylchioridbasis mit einem Dichtungsring aus thermoplastischem Kautschuk, der durch Schweißen in der Verbindung befestigt wird, wobei der Dichtungsring im wesentlichen aus einer teilweise vulkanisierten Mischung aus einem Ethylencopolymer mit mindestens einem copolymerisierbaren Comonomeren und zu 5 bis 75 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 20 bis 60 Gew.-% der Mischung aus einem Vinylhalogenid- oder Vinylidenhalogenidpoly-mer besteht.
Mit Harz auf Vinylchloridbasis werden die Homopolymere von Vinylchlorid sowie die Copolymere mit mindestens 50 Mol % Einheiten, die von Vinylchlorid abgeleitet sind, bezeichnet.
Unter den Comonomeren, die mit dem Ethylen copolymerisiert werden können, werden im allgemeinen die ethylenisch ungesättigten Monomere, wie die Mono- oder Dicarbonsäuren und ihre Esterderivate, die Vinylester, die Acryl- oder Methacrylmonomere, das Carbonoxid und das Schwefeldioxid bevorzugt.
Das Vinylhalogenid- oder Vinylidenhalogenidpolymer kann ein Homopolymer oder ein Copolymer mit insbesondere von Vinylestern, Acrylnitril, Acrylestern, Vinyl- oder Vinylidenchlorid, ungesättigten Carbonsäuren oder Vinylethern abgeleiteten Einheiten sein, wobei das bevorzugte Polymer Polyvinylchlorid ist.
Besonders geeignete Mischungen zur Erzeugung des Dichtungsringes, sowie das Verfahren zu seiner Herstellung werden in der EP-OS-0101833 beschrieben,
Die Mischungen zur Ausführung des Dichtungsringes der Verbindung gemäß der Erfindung sind auf besondere Weise vulkanisiert, vorzugsweise bis zu einem Gelgehalt von 10 bis 70 %, der durch Auflösung in Tetrahydrofuran gemessen wird, so wie es in der vorgenannten EP-OS-0101833 beschrieben wird.
Diese Mischungen können ebenso übliche Zusätze wie Füllmaterialien, Schmiermittel, Stabilisierungsmittel und/oder Weichmacher enthalten.
Mischungen, die besonders für die Ausführung des Dichtungsringes der Verbindung gemäß der Erfindung geeignet sind, werden von der Firma E.I. du Pont de NEMOURS unter der Handelsmarke "ALCRYN" hergestellt und verkauft. Diese Mischungen bleiben mindestens bis 200 *C thermisch stabil, können leicht durch Injektion oder durch Kompression auf klassischen Vorrichtungen geformt werden und machen während ihrer Formung keinen Vulkanisierungsarbeitsgang erforderlich.
Gemäß einer ersten Ausführungsform der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindung für Rohrleitungen können der Dichtungsring und die Verbindung aus Harz auf Vinylchloridbasis getrennt durch übliche Techniken wie Formpressen, Spritzgießen oder Thermoverformung geformt werden, wobei die Formung des Dichtungsringes bei einer Temperatur zwischen 14Q und 190 "C erfolgt. In diesem Fall wird der vorhergehend geformte Dichtungsring anschließend in die Verbindung etngebracht und an der bestimmten Stelle durch Schweißen 2

- AT 397 992 B mit einer konventionellen Technik, wie das Schweißen mit Heizspiegel, das Ultraschallschweißen, das elektrische Widerstandsschweißen, das Reibschweißen, das Hochfrequenzschweißen oder ferner das Vibrationsschweißen befestigt. Der Dichtungsring kann selbstverständlich auf der inneren und/oder äußeren Seite der Rohrverbindung befestigt werden. Eine Befestigung auf der äußeren Seite der Verbindung erweist sichals zweckmäßig, um das Verbindungsende gegen Stöße zu schützen. Wird die Befestigung durch die Schweißtechnik mit Heizspiegel ausgeführt, wird Vorzugsweise eine Spiegeltemperatur von 200 bis 240 ° C, ein Schweißdruck von 0,1 bis 0,3 N/mm1 und eine Schweißzeit von 15 bis 60 Sekunden angewendet. Gemäß einer anderen Ausführungsform der Rohrverbindung, die sich als wirtschaftlicher erwiesen hat, können die Verbindung und der Dichtungsring gleichzeitig durch die Koinjektionstechnik geformt werden, so wie es insbesondere in der BE-PS-838058, BE-PS-853292, EP-OS-0031620, EP-OS-0188012, EP-OS-0188300 und EP-OS-0188301 beschrieben wird. In diesem Fall wird die Injektionstemperatur des Materials, das den Dichtungsring bildet so gewählt, daß die direkte Befestigung durch Schweißen des geformten Dichtungsrings in der Verbindung sichergestellt wird. Gemäß einer dritten Ausführungsform kann der Dichtungsring, der mit einem harten Stauring aus Kunststoff, vorzugsweise aus Polyvinylchlorid ausgerüstet ist, der durch Schweißen befestigt wird, getrennt, beispielsweise durch die Koinjektionstechnik, hergestellt werden; anschließend wird diese Gesamtheit eingesetzt und durch Schweißen über den Stauring in der geformten Verbindung befestigt. Das entsprechende Verfahren wird in der Dokument GB-PS-2144190 beschrieben. Erfindungsgemäß ist es, möglich, einen durch einen inneren metallischen oder andersartigen Einsatz verstärkten Dichtungsring zu formen. Dieser Einsatz kann im Einzelnen ein elektrischer Widerstand, in dem Fall, daß eine spätere Befestigung durch elektrisches Schweißen ins Auge gefaßt wird, sein. Die erfindungsgemäße Verbindung für Rohrleitungen kann eine stumpf zusammenstoßende Einsteckverbindung gleich welchen Typs oder ferner eine Verzweigungsverbindung, so wie in der BE-PS-833318 beschrieben, sein. Die erfindungsgemäße Verbindung für Rohrleitungen ist durch die Fig. der beiliegenden Zeichnungen dargestellt, wobei die Fig. 1 bis 3 eine Teilansicht möglicher Ausführungsformen von Einsteckverbindungen und Fig. 4 eine Ansicht einer Verzweigungsverbindung zeigen. In diesen Fig. ist der erfindungsgemäße Dichtungsring 1 aus thermoplastischem Kautschuk durch eine Schweißverbindung 2 auf den inneren und/oder äußeren Wänden der geformten Verbindung 3 aus Hart-Polyvinylchlorid befestigt. Die erfindungsgemäße Verbindung für Rohrleitungen wird außerdem durch die folgende Beschreibung eines praktischen Ausführungsbeispieles einer Rohrverbindung des durch Fig.
- 2 dargestellten Ausführungsbeispieles dargestellt. Beispiel Ein Dichtungsring 1 des in Fig. 2 gezeigten Profiles wird durch Formung hergestellt, wobei als Material ALCRVN Harzkörner der Härte 70 Shore A verwendet werden. Hiezu wird das Material in dosierter Menge in die Matrize, die auf 180 *C gehalten wird, gebracht, und nach einer Heizzeit von 10 Min. wird die Formung durch Druck bewirkt. Nach einer Abkühlung der Matrize auf Umgebungstemperatur wird der geformte Dichtungsring entformt. Der auf diese Weise erhaltene Dichtungsring 1 wird anschließend auf dem Ende der Verbindung aus Polyvinylchlorid, vorgeformt durch Thermoverformung, und durch die Schweißtechnik mit Heizspiegel befestigt. In diesem Fall wird der Spiegel auf 220 · C gehalten, der aufgebrachte Schweißdruck beträgt 0,2 N/mm1, die Schweißzeit 30 Sekunden. Nach Abkühlung wird geprüft, ob der Dichtungsring einwandfrei auf der Verbindung durch Verschweißung befestigt ist, und daß dieser Ring reißt, wenn versucht wird, ihn aus der Verbindungsstelle auszureißen, ohne Nachgeben der Schweißnaht. Patentansprüche t. Verbindung für Rohrleitungen aus Harz auf Vmylchloridbasis mit einem Dichtungsring aus thermoplastischem Kautschuk, der durch Schweißen in der Verbindung befestigt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Dichtungsring (1) aus einer teilweise vulkanisierten Mischung aus einem Ethylencopolymer mit wenigstens einem copoiymerisierbaren Monomeren und zu 5-75 Gew.-% der Mischung aus einem Vinylhalogenid- oder Vmylidenhalogenidpolymer hergestellt ist 3 1 Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der teilweise vulkanisierte thermoplastische Kautschuk wie an sich bekannt ein Füllmaterial enthält. - 3. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der teilweise vulkanisierte thermoplastische Kautschuk einen Gelgehalt von 10-70 %, der durch Auflösung in Tetrahydrofuran gemessen wird, aufweist.
- 4. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Dichtungsring (1) durch Schweißen befestigt ist.
- 5. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Dichtungsring (1) durch Koinjektion hergestellt und befestigt ist.
- 6. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Dichtungsring (1) durch Schweißen auf einem Befestigungsring aus Harz auf Vinylchloridbasis befestigt ist, der danach mit der Verbindung in eine Einheit gebracht wird.
- 7. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Dichtungsring (1) durch Koinjektion aur einem Befestigungsring aus Harz auf Vinylchloridbasis befestigt ist, der danach mit der Verbindung in eine Einheit gebracht wird. Hiezu 3 Blatt Zeichnungen 4
