sion can be separated, e.g. B. by filtration or centrifugation. Another method is that the whole suspension z. B. by spraying in a hot gas or in a vacuum, or dried on a heated roller.

The insoluble metal salts thus obtained can be used for various purposes, e.g. B. as "builders" in soap and other detergents, rubber and plastics. They can also be intimately mixed with mineral oils or fatty oils and fats, it being possible to obtain lubricants or ointments for medical purposes. Silver or mercury compounds, among other things, are also suitable for the production of ointments.
 EMI2.1
l: yaws; the semi-dry mixture obtained in this way can optionally be set with 0.1 mol of potassium silicate.

The reaction product contains a complex salt that contains 2 molecules of fatty acid and 1 molecule of silica per 2 atoms of magnesium. It is very suitable to be used as a "builder" for soap with improved washing properties.

    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Process for the preparation of water-insoluble salts of polyvalent metals, characterized in that water-soluble salts of polyvalent metals are allowed to react both with an alkali silicate and with an alkali salt of an organic acid in dilute aqueous solution to form a homogeneous suspension.

Claims (1)

2. The method according to claim l, characterized in that the organic acid is a fatty acid having at least 6 carbon atoms. 3. 3. The method according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the solution of the alkali metal silicate and the alkali metal salt of an organic acid is gradually added to the solution of the polyvalent metal salt. 4. 4. The method according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the insoluble salt is separated from the aqueous liquid.
